To ensure this phone will work with your carrier please check to make sure the frequencies your carrier uses are supported by this phone. The full list of compatible carrier frequencies can be found here, the frequencies this phone supports can be found in the product specs.
Android 8.0 Oreo
The Android operating system integrates heavily with Google's services. Using the card-based Google Now, Android quickly surfaces information for you whenever you need it, powered by the same Knowledge Engine that runs Google's web search. It's a personalized and customizable OS, with access to the million-plus apps, games, books, music, movies, and more that are available via the Google Play Store. Android 8.0 Oreo builds on the productivity capabilities added with the previous version by overhauling the notification system to better prioritize information while giving you the ability to snooze notifications until you have more time to handle them. It also makes some under-the-hood changes intended to keep the OS on older phones up-to-date for longer via Project Treble. Other additions include a new set of emoji, battery-saving app restrictions, and a picture-in-picture mode.

Sony H3123 Reviews

Xperia XA2 H3123 32GB Smartphone (Unlocked, Blue) is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 19.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very pleased I've always bought midrange phones: Lumia 810, BlackBerry Dtek-50, etc. And I always paid for my cheapness via sluggish performance or weak battery life. Happily, the XA2 is zippy and easily stands up to a full day of constant use. The size is right for my pockets, and super-vivid mode in settings makes the screen pop. My gripes: 1. Too much preinstalled software from Sony, like McAfee antivirus; 2: Sony should allow app installation to the SD card; 3. Double-tap to wake would be great. But these are minor complaints; this is easily the best phone I've owned yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Feature packed phone at competitive price Feature packed phone at competitive price I bought Xperia XA2 as a replacement for iPhone 4S. iPhone replacement is getting more expensive so I had decided to switch to Android where consumer has many options. There are lot of video reviews online so I will not repeat that content however I will try to provide some information which I could not find in many online reviews. ? The phone has excellent build quality. It works on TMobile network. It has US warranty and is sold brand new by B&H. B&H is authorized seller for Sony. The phone has excellent screen and ergonomics of external controls are decent. The phone is not overpowering in size but not too small either. Screen resolution is good. The touch screen is very responsive. ?The phone has latest (as of this writing) Android 8.0 Oreo operating system. The startup and operation of phone is very responsive. Coming from iPhone 4S, it was a day and night difference for me. The phone uses single nano SIM card and has expansion slot for micro SD card. ? The phone camera has fixed 24mm F2.0 lens and has excellent 23MP resolution. It should be noted that you are almost always better off taking pictures at 24mm focal length without using zoom feature because there is no optical zoom. In zoom mode the camera uses digital manipulation which results in patchy images (still usable in small size). However at 24mm, the results are exceptionally detailed. The camera can also be set in manual control allowing you to use creativity. The lowest shutter speed I could set was 1 second. The fast lens allows lower ISO settings to be used. Most of the picture taking I did with Auto ISO yielded in good balance between shutter speed and ISO values. Camera will most certainly favor lower ISO settings.? There is a dedicated shutter button on the side of the phone which works very well as a traditional shutter release when you are composing pictures horizontally. For video the phone has 4K recording capability. All of the traditional Android features and apps are packed in the phone so there is nothing out of ordinary. ?Sony has not heavily customized the software. Pro Android users should be at ease with this configuration. When you connect the phone to desktop computer, it will give you option to install Sony’s Xperia Companion software. The software provides very good toolset to transfer data between desktop computer and phone including backup and restore capability. ?Sony also has included Xperia Assist software on the phone which is very valuable. It has two battery saver functions, Stamina Mode and Ultra Stamina Mode. In Ultra Stamina Mode, the phone essentially turns off many smart phone features such as data transfer etc and puts phone in voice and text only mode. Obviously this prolongs the battery life. I am not a gamer so I cannot tell you how the gaming affects battery life. For my average use of mostly phone, ?text and camera, the battery lasts for two days without much trouble. Continuous use of camera though starts consuming battery a lot. On the day when I did heavy photography through phone, I found that battery level was down to 30% at the end of the day. ? Music sound quality is crisp. Call voice quality is good. It has a lot to do with carrier as well. My experience is that the call quality is not out of ordinary but what I would consider at par with similar offering from any other manufacturer / carrier combination. Now cons, first the phone being non-traditional in US market, there was not much choice for the cases available. When I bought the phone, B&H did not even have cases available. I ended up in ordering case online from other sources. The phone comes with some sort of screen protector which is good. Its not the best quality protector and got scratched in first week of use so you are better off buying the screen protector yourself. As of now, I still have not found good screen protector for this specific model so I am still using factory provided screen cover. You most certainly do not want to put the phone in use without getting the phone case first. The bottom line is Xperia XA2 is a feature packed phone without hefty price tag. ?Only time will tell the value after continuous use however so far, the phone has been living up to Sony’s quality standards. As always B&H service is fantastic and you cannot go wrong buying Xperia XA2 from B&H.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Midrange Sony works better than Galaxy S7 I became very tired of my Samsung $550 GS7s lousy Android Oreo experience because of so much bloatware and redundant Galaxy apps, plus it just didnt work reliably as a *phone*.  I began looking at iPhones but couldnt stand Apples UI conventions without a real Back button.  Luckily this $250 Sony XA2 is beautifully built and runs Android Oreo extremely well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from inexpensive and works well My biggest complaint is the Sony software that is loaded and cant be removed. The phone only has 32 GB of storage and half is used up out of the box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Style+features at a great price This phone has all the style and features anyone could ask for in an up-to-date model with Android Oreo.  A great bargain at B&Hs discount price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this phone!! The thing I like the best about this phone is the high speed camera. I've already made a couple of slow motion videos of my dog. Processor and storage performance is excellent. FM radio is handy. Overall size is good - big, but still fits in my pocket.?The screen is crisp and bright.?I like the way the screen goes all the way to the left and right edges. The battery is more than enough to last all day. Oh yeah, and sound quality is good when making a call! (I'm on ATT via TracFone/BYOP)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My review All in all, it is exactly what was advertised. I was a little surprised though that no headphones were part of the package. Normally, when you buy a phone, headphone to go with the phone is a standard. Not on this one! The camera from a company that makes some of the best cameras was a little underwhelming. My old Samsung camera has a better camera. But-- works great as a phone as well as receiving data on the street. All in all-- giving it four stars and not five!
