Sporting a sleek profile and a versatile focal length range, the black XC 15-45mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS PZ from FUJIFILM is a 23-69mm-equivalent zoom characterized by its compact, retractable design. FUJIFILM XC 15-45mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS PZ Reviews
Stopped working in just a few weeks!
I bought the Fujifilm XM5 with the 15-45mm kit lens. At first it worked fine. Then today when I was trying to take pictures at my dad's birthday lunch, the zoom just froze and refused to revert back to its wide position. When I turn on the camera, there are rattling noises and then an error message pops up: Turn off the camera, and then turn on again. I did as instructed. The problem is still there. The same issue happens again. The camera works fine with other lens, but not this 15-45mm. When I mount the lens on another camera, the same thing happened. I tried to contact B&H for help but the chat message option didn't work well. If anyone knows how to reset this lens, I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks.
Pretty Pictures
I kept this lens because it makes beautiful images, SOOC. I love the colors and contrast, more so than when shooting the XF 35mm f2. PROS: Lightweight. Feels like nothing on my X-E2s. Great for street and landscapes. Silent, fast auto focus. Super close focus. Plastic lens mount fits securely on camera body. CONS: It really drains my battery. I used to shoot 350 shots per battery. Now it's 190. Say goodbye to low light shots. The 3.5-5.6 aperture results in high ISO and slow shutter speeds. I took this lens to a concert and had maybe two keepers. The manual focus ring is a joke. Yes, it works, but it feels like a plastic happy meal toy. Bottom line is I recommend this lens for daylight, documentary and landscapes. If you shoot dark spaces and/or portraits, look elsewhere.
