    SanDisk Imagemate Pro reviews

ImageMate Pro USB 3.0 Reader is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 26.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as expected! I was a little leery about buying a card reader that had no reviews (at the time of purchase) – perhaps unmerited as SanDisk products are usually great, but as the portal of important data, I was a bit hesitant. I will say that it's a very nice upgrade from my older white, rectangular one. This one feels far more sturdy (perhaps less susceptible to cracking like the white SanDisk one did). It has little rubber feet on the bottom to keep it from sliding around on a desk when inserting cards. The only thing that caught me off guard is that the MicroSD slot has a push-spring action, which means you push it in a bit so it will pop out for removal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Very Nice Unit The speeds are great, it is dependent on the card quality and rating but this reader is no bottle neck on my systems. No recognition quirks so far. With other readers it seemed to be a toss up if I had to disconnect and reconnect it to get it to show up on my system after sleep or shut down. This unit is reliable. Card fit and feel is fine. I like the spring loaded Micro SD Slot. The unit is weighted enough the rubber feet grip fine on my wood desk while inserting or removing cards. I started to give 4 stars because I would have preferred a longer cable.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from TOO HEAVY!!! As an imaging professional I require high performance gear and this extends to my card reader. This a good product but BUT its too heavy! When traveling Every Ounce Counts!!! (or grams lol). This card reader has a giant 2.5mm thick metal plate inside and I suggest that anyone considering this device to open it up (5 screws under rubber feet and the plastic identify plate on the bottom) and Throw Away the useless weight. Sandisk may claim its a 'heat sink' but really its an attempt to justify the cost and give a perception of 'quality' but all it does is add stupid weight. You could carry another EN-EL15 in your travel kit with the weight you save its close.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A step up! Went thru 3 Lexar multicard readers- the last one quit right before a big event. Called B&H and the SanDisk was recommended. Ordered two. Shipped in two days. Still working for both of us. Wouldn't buy the Lexar if you are a high volume photographer who must have reliability!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best I have ever used! I'm using USH2 300mb per second. Sandisk cards for my Fujifilm X-H1. Between this reader and my cards download speeds have increased 3-4 times faster, no joke. I've only tested SD cards to date, thanks.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fast, but unreliable SD slot I bought this thinking it would be a little upgrade from my previous card reader. I own many Sandisk products and have always been satisfied, except this one. The good, it reads fast. I've got 160 MB/s from CF cards and nearly 300 MB/s from UHS-II SD cards. The bad: The SD card slot is unreliable. After using this for a few months it will no longer recognized and read SD cards (UHS-I or II) reliablably. I've used Sandisk, Lexar, and Sony SD cards to name a few, I insert the card and nothing. Wait a few minutes and nothing. Remove and re-insert the card and nothing. In fact, it seems like it most unreliable reading Sandisk Extreme PRO SD cards (UHS-I). I will have to contact Sandisk and see if this is covered under warranty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works I needed this since was shooting with a new Nikon 850 which had the SanDisk smaller (to me) SD card - worked fine Same with CF card from my D 800 Pleased, no hassles!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great and Fast! Using it with a USB to USB-C adaptor and transferring files to my Macbook Touchbar. It's been 6 months, and works as advertised.
