Hughes & Kettner FSM-432 MK III Phantom-Powered MIDI Foot Board

The Hughes & Kettner FSM-432 MK III is a phantom-powered MIDI foot controller for optomized for the company's Black Spirit 200, GrandMeister 36, and GrandMeister Deluxe 40 amplififers. It will also work with the TubeMeister Deluxe 40, TubeMeister 36, Coreblade, and the Switchblade.

Use this board to select among amplifier presets, and also, to switch channels on the amplifier itself. With two 1/4" inputs on board, the controller accepts outputs from expression pedals and single footswitches for even more control. Both of these 1/4" inputs are assignable; you can control any pot or switch of both the GrandMeister Deluxe 40 and GrandMeister 36 with footswitches plugged into the FSM-432 MK III.

The foot controller can operate in two modes. In Preset Mode, you can select among your amplifier's stored settings. In Stompbox mode, the floor controller selects among the four channels of your corresponding amplifier, and can also control modulation, boost, and delay effects.

MIDI connections are made available via 5-pin MIDI and 7-pin MIDI jacks. A 7-pin MIDI cable is provided, and it is through this cable that phantom power is supplied from your amp to the foot controller. You can use a conventional 5-pin MIDI cable if you wish, but then you will need to power the unit externally. This is easily possible thanks to a power input that accepts both AC and DC adapters rated between 9 and 15V with a current rating of at least 250 mA.
