The black Modified "BIC" Pen Omnidirectional Microphone from Microphone Madness is a hand-made, high-quality microphone installed in the tip of the outer casing of a Bic pen. It can be used to capture hands-free audio for lectures, live music recordings, and just about anything you could imagine.
With a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, this microphone has a naturally crisp sound providing deep bass, smooth mid range, and clean highs. The MM-Pen microphone can be plugged into any Minidisc, DAT, or audio recorder that supplies a bias voltage of between 1.25 to 10 VDC—also known as plug-in power—at the microphone input jack.
The MM-Pen Modified Bic Pen Omnidirectional Microphone has a 3' cable and terminates with a right-angle 3.5mm stereo miniplug. It is compatible with numerous portable audio recorders that supply plug-in power including (but not limited to) the Edirol R9, Kodak Zi8 HD pocket video camera, Olympus DS-40, Olympus LS-10, Tascam DR-01, Tascam DR-03, Tascam DR-07, Yamaha CX, Zoom H1, Zoom H2, and Zoom H4N models.
