Would this work well for macro photography?
Would this work well for macro photography?
I wouldn't use these for most macro work because this a diffuser. Shooting upclose, there won't be a whole lot of diffusion.

I'm looking for a diffusor for macro photography. This seems is would be more durable than the Angler (sounds like it tears easily/doesn't last long in some reviews). Thanks.
I think the product you've mentioned would be more comparable to the Magmod Magbounce, which can also be attached via magnet to the top of your speedlite. This allows you to point your speedlite up and bounce it off the product and create a larger light source. Larger = softer. I use it when I don't have a handy white wall or ceiling to bounce my flash off of but still want that softer lighting affect. I have had both the magsphere and magbounce for a couple years and they are both effective for their purposes, durable and easy to attach. I think the attaching and durability advantages are what makes this a better product. I've tried other methods of attaching different lighting modifiers and they're always more frustrating.

How do these perform for church that is dark with spotlights?
This is a good diffuser. If pointed up it will light a room. It is way better than just bouncing off the ceiling. I like to use it with the grid. Pointed at the subject it gives soft light and with nice fall off. Hope this helps

Since the MagMod products have not been designed to work with the round head flashes, we don't "recommend" it. That doesn't mean that you won't find customers making it work. Hope that helps.

MagSphere or MagBounce?
MagSphere or MagBounce?
It depends on what your are shooting mostly. The sphere has a softer more directional light, similar to a softbox and the bounce has a wider cover but less soft. Portraits-sphere. Groups-bounce.

I'm considering purchasing the MagMod Sphere. From reading most of the questions, it appears that the MagMod is used mostly outside. Will the MagMod work on the inside for event photography?
Yes, I use it all the time indoors.
