A versatile and compact prime, the Sony E-mount 35mm f/2 from 7artisans is an all-manual lens well-suited for street, reportage, and everyday shooting requiring a natural field of view. The bright f/2 maximum aperture benefits working in a variety of lighting conditions and also offers greater control over depth of field for isolating subjects with selective focus. Multi-layer coatings have been applied to individual glass elements to suppress flare and ghosting for improved contrast and color fidelity when working in strong lighting conditions. Additionally, a rounded 10-blade diaphragm produces a pleasing bokeh quality.

7artisans Photoelectric 35mm f/2 Reviews
Great for the price!
Looks great in video mode with the Sony A7SII! Decently sharp image, and the focus ring feels wonderful. I have 2 main complaints: 1.) The image has a fair bit of distortion around the edges, but it doesn't look too bad, especially if you stop down to around f/4 to f/5.6. 2.) Putting this on and taking it off of the camera can be a bit difficult since pretty much the entire body is made up of rotating rings (the aperture and focus ring). And the front portion is a lens hood, so it also rotates if you try holding it. Other than that, I'm loving it
Great little lens
I needed a walk around fast prime for my α6000 and found this lens with an unbeatable price. I bought it despite of the online mixed reviews and to my satisfaction I found that it is a great little piece of glass. Colours are very nice, sharp in the center but not in the corners, well built, light and tiny. The α6000 looks and feel like a traditional rangefinder making photography fun. The lens has its character and results are good, I like how it performs. Pros: it feels sturdy, lovely colours and contrast, wonderful price tag, smooth focus ring, light and right size Cons: very soft in the corners, although you can crop and think of it as a 40mm instead. Clickless aperture ring although this may be a pro for video.
Has a classic feel to it.
I got this lens for my Sony A7iii and I must say, I'm really pleased with it's performance and image quality. First off, the build quality is good. All metal (except focus and aperture ring). I really like the size, it's perfect for street photography. It has just the right softness in image quality, reminds me of film stock. I added a b&w rubber lens hood and it looks vintage cool. Uploading samples ( landscape setting in camera).
Good enough!
Good enough for amateur use.
