The Cintiq Pro 24 Creative Pen & Touch Display from Wacom is a drawing tablet featuring a 23.6" IPS display with a 3840 x 2160 4K resolution. So disappointed

I had high hopes for this top-end Wacom tablet, so it was a big disappointment when it didn't work. I use a Mac Studio with the M1 chip, running OS 14.4.1 and Adobe Photoshop 2024. A pretty typical setup for a designer. The Wacom driver/software installed perfectly, worked briefly and then the screen blipped on and off. After that, the pen was completely unresponsive. Tried all the fixes recommended in the trouble shooting section of their site. Bupkiss. Also contacted Wacom tech support. They recommended a very elaborate uninstall/reinstall and if that didn't work, I was supposed to repeat the whole process again using a new administrator account. Not going to happen. This is an expensive piece of specialized equipment. I don't think it's expecting too much to have a stable, working driver for a major design platform. If Logitech can create stable, seamless drivers, then so can Wacom in its speciality niche.

I recently purchased the Wacom Cintiq Pro 24". It arrived 2 days after placing the order. It was a breeze to hook up and came with excellent quality cables and peripherals. I'm an Astrophotographer and use a very comprehensive processing program to process my images. The Wacom Cintiq was recommended to me by a friend who also does astrophotography and I'm so glad that I purchased it! The Wacom Cintiq just does EVERYTHING it's supposed to do and it makes my workflow so much easier. The colors and resolution are marvelous and I think better than my iMac 27". I would highly recommend this product for anyone who does serious image processing.

We have a Wacom tablet that allows us to draw paths in Illustrator, opposed to our iPad which automatically generates objects, which is not useful to us. Does this tablet allow you to draw paths?

Using Illustrator paths with the bezier tool and the Cintiq pen is possible, but doesn't feel the same. The Cintiq reacts to the pen extremely quickly, which sometimes makes it hard to be precise. You'll have to practice. But don't forget that you can always use the mouse.

Is there anything one can do to reduce the fan noise? Does it depend on the power of the computer it is attached to?

I find running the Cintiq at its highest brightness unnecessary. I can work fine, and find it less straining for my eyes, to set brightness under 50%, which largely reduces the frequency that fan comes on.

Are the sides of the Cintiq pro 24 magnetic all the way down? My one is only holding the remote from about 3 inches down the bezel. Is this this OK

Refurbished just means that the item has been repaired and resold. This is done by the manufacturer directly so the warranty would all be from them directly.
