solid
sturdy, solidly constructed
these are great
If you got stuck with some cheap versions of these cause you bought one of those digital juice blue bag led sets (the leds die in it too) you will really appreciate how well these are made. Also if you just need to mount a light on a stand and need that swivel, you gotta get these, they are expensive, but worth the price.
Rock Solid.
Lately I have so many 1/4-20 mounting issues with GoPros and alike and the lightweight connectors that come with them just don't hold up in some situations. Slide this onto any decent clamp with a baby pin and you can align whatever you got to whatever angle you need. Lock it down and safety it and you have real peace of mind it ain't going anywhere.
Solid head
Good small head for led lights and GoPro cameras
Needs a redesign
It was perfect until I went to remove it from the light. I had it tight and once I started twisting, the entire chrome rod started twisting off. So the chrome piece and two pieces. It would be much better if it was one piece. Still works great, but you have to remember to not tighten it as much.
Expensive and worth it
On a shoot I experienced both using this and cheaper ball head adapters and it's just a world of difference considering how sturdy it is. You do not want to be fiddling when making an adjustments in front of clients.
