Since its first publication in 2007, The Photographer's Eye by Michael Freeman has served to help readers incorporate the principles of design by organizing the graphic elements of a scene into effective, compelling compositions.
This 10th anniversary edition of The Photographer's Eye features improved digital reproduction of the author's photography. These images help the reader explore traditional approaches to composition and design as well as digital photography techniques like stitching and HDR.
Michael Freeman has concentrated principally on documentary travel reportage, and has been published in major publications, including Time-Life, GEO, and Smithsonian magazine. Much of his work has focused on Asia, beginning in Thailand and extending throughout East Asia, including Cambodia, Japan, and China.
