The Schoeps MiniCMIT M/S Pianissimo Set is a pair of Schoeps condenser microphones with a windscreen set designed for mid-side recording of dialog and instruments indoors or outdoors in windy conditions. It includes a MiniCMIT miniature shotgun microphone, CCM 8 Lg figure-8 microphone, a Cinela PIANI-2 basket-type windscreen set with a long-pile fur cover, a wood box, an XLR 5-pin extension, and a break-out cable that converts an XLR 5-pin to two XLR 3-pin jacks.


The microphones boast wide frequency responses, excellent off-axis rejection, and compact bodies. The included Cinela windscreen set is acoustically transparent and offers significant vibration isolation and wind-noise reduction.

An integrated cable system merges the individual mic outputs to an XLR 5-pin jack. Connect the XLR 5-pin output to the supplied XLR 5-pin extension and breakout cable, which converts an XLR 5-pin to two XLR 3-pin connectors. From there, you can easily route signal to your preferred mic preamps.

  • MiniCMIT Miniature Shotgun Microphone (Blue)

    The blue Schoeps MiniCMIT is a miniature shotgun microphone designed to provide the characteristics of standard CMIT mic in a short and lightweight body. Delivering accurate close and distant capture of dialog and musical instruments, it is ideal for boom operators, audio engineers, and musicians in film, television, and video production as well as music recording applications. Its supercardioid/lobe-shaped polar pattern yields precise directionality, high immunity to wind noise, and low coloration at the off-axis sections of the capsule. An integrated RFI shield yields enhanced rejection of radio-frequency interference.

    The MiniCMIT features the same frequency response as the CMIT 5, allowing either microphone to be used without altering the sound. A fixed 24 dB/octave low-cut filter at 70 Hz prevents proximity effect and build-up of low frequencies. It supports P12 and P48 phantom powering with low current draw and utilizes an XLR 3-pin output for compatibility with most microphone preamps. The MiniCMIT microphone includes a foam windscreen and a swivel-type stand clamp.

  • CCM8 LG Compact Figure-Eight Microphone

    The Schoeps CCM8 LG is a miniature figure-eight microphone with a detachable cable. The figure-eight pattern design provides a bidirectional pickup that is almost completely identical at all frequencies. The figure-eight pattern is also useful in M/S stereo capturing. The K 5 LU adapter cable and an SGC miniature stand mount with swivel is also included.

    The capsule is a pure pressure-gradient transducer with a figure-8 pattern. The bi-directional pattern is almost completely identical at all frequencies.
    Detachable K 5 LU Cable
    This version of the CCM8 features a detachable 3-Pin LEMO connector allowing easier microphone interchanging and placement.
    Off-Axis High Frequency Rejection
    The CCM8 provides exceptional high-frequency rejection at the off-axis sections of the capsule.
    Wide Linear Frequency Response
    The wide frequency response ensures accurate detail regardless of the source signal.
  • KS 5 U XLR-5 Stereo Microphone Cable (16.4')

    The 16.4' KS 5 U XLR-5 Stereo Microphone Cable from Schoeps has a thin diameter of 0.1" (4.4mm) and is made of Kevlar fiber making it extremely robust and nearly invisible when suspended. This cable remains flexible even in cold conditions and is non-twisting when used for hanging a microphone.

     

     

     

  • AK SU/2U Cable for Stereo Microphones

    The AK SU/2U Adapter Cable from Schoeps is for use with stereo microphones MSTC 64 Ug (ORTF), KFM 6 and KFM 360 (sphere microphones) as well as the CMXY 4V Ug (X/Y microphone). The cable is used to adapt a stereo XLR-5F jack to two XLR-3M plugs. 

    The combination of this adapter cable with its inverse counterpart (AK 2U/SU: 2 x XLR-3F to XLR-5M) and an XLR-5 extension cable makes it possible to use just one cable for a stereo setup.
