Wide-angle zoom is designed for FX-format Nikon F-mount cameras, however is also suitable for DX models where it provides a 21-36mm equivalent focal length range.
Constant f/2.8 maximum aperture is well-suited for working in available light conditions and also provides greater control over depth of field.
Three Special Low Dispersion (SLD) elements and three F Low Dispersion (FLD) elements markedly reduce chromatic aberrations and color fringing throughout the zoom range for improved clarity and color accuracy.
Three aspherical elements control spherical aberrations and distortion for increased sharpness and accurate rendering.
A Super Multi-Layer Coating has been applied to lens elements in order to minimize lens flare and ghosting and contribute to producing contrast-rich and color-neutral imagery, even in backlit conditions.
Integrated HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) realizes quick and quiet autofocus, which is further complemented by an optimized AF algorithm to produce smoother focusing performance. The HSM also permits full-time manual focus control simply by rotating the focus ring at any time.
Rounded nine-blade diaphragm contributes to a smooth and pleasing bokeh quality.
Front lens element has been treated with a water- and oil-repellent coating to benefit working in harsh environmental conditions.

It is WIDE! Great build quality, Sharp Sharp Sharp corner to corner, Focuses accurately (Nikon D850). It is a bit heavy but that's the price for solid construction and lots of glass.

Beautiful and well built

Great Start with the Sigma 14-24 mm f/2.8

I used this ultrawide for the first time for a bridal shower event. The event was for my stepson's fiance so it was important that I capture the occasion well. The backyard setting was close in, stretching long and relatively narrow, and the wide angle lens was perfect for capturing the beautifully decorated/arranged setting and the guests enjoying themselves. The color and detail popped and I couldn't be happier with this first experience. Everyone gushed about the pictures and the bride-to-be shared them widely with friends and family. Next, I am hitting the road to capture beachscapes and skyscapes on the Oregon coast and feel well prepared with the Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8.

I am a new photographer, I have only ever used kit NIkon lenses. After being tired of not getting sharp images I decided to buy the Sigma 14-24mm and see the difference. SO glad I did! My images are so sharp. The lens doesn't have a stabilizer, which almost stopped me from buying it but it is so easy to use handheld and tripod! You can't go wrong with this lens

This thing is heavy

Using this on the Z6 with the adaptor is crazy front heavy, but on a D750 its not too bad. Picture quality seems fine and its a good alternative to the Nikon 14-24 besides the weight. I don't like the reversed zoom and focus ring, and the auto focus seems to be set too close. Shooting an open field it tends to focus about 3 feet in front of me.

I waited a long time to get this lense and I'm completely thrilled with it. The range and clarity of the lense are great. The price is excellent. I wanted to have the Nikon trinity of lenses but I couldn't get past the fact that this lens, just beats the Nikon and was $600 cheaper, how can you go wrong.

I use this lens on my Nikon Z6 with the FTZ adapter and I love it! If you want a great full frame lens without spending thousands of dollars like the Z mount wide angle this will do for sure! Not only is it great for architecture photography the detail during long exposure is amazing for the money. Sigmas always surprise me with their quality so if your looking for a reasonably priced full frame wide angle this is the one!

Great for astrophotographers

Can you attach circular ND filter?

Can you attach circular ND filter?
Asked by: Anonymous
For Canon EF mount cameras and DSLRs, the rear-mount filter holder FHR-11 will work. Otherwise, filter holders that have a round clamp to attach further down the lens than the filter threads will work. Mirrorless camera adapters are available that have ND filters built in, like Canon EF to RF for example.

I use mine with Nikon's original FTZ adapter on my Z 5. It works fine. I would assume that the lens would work with the Z 6 and all Z mount cameras when using Nikon's FYZ adapter.
