Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 DG HSM Art Reviews

Really Fine Lens

Canon Lenses have NOTHING on the latest Sigmas. With a wide-angle lens, I always check for nasty stuff like distortion, chromatic aberration, and vignetting. The Sigma 14-24mm/f2.8 suffers from none of these. The constant f2.8 aperture is a real plus - e.g., enables serious consideration of night sky photography. Can't beat the price either. If you're into wide-angle photography, I highly recommend the Sigma 14-24mm/f2.8

I bought this lens instead of a Nikon branded ultra-wide due to the combination of reasonable cost and great reviews. I am still getting comfortable with shooting focal lengths this low, but the image sharpness and quality I am getting are excellent. I have been very happy with the results.

SIMPLY AMAZING!

After a full function test drive I have to say this lens is crisp and sharp throughout it's entire range. I shoot RAW with a D850, and even upon extreme magnification and pixel chasing....images are finely detailed and absolutely crisp and sharp. Very little vignetting/distortion---barely perceptible in fact. I'm thrilled to have this lens in my bag. If you get one of these you will be thrilled as well. Packaging was superb and shipment was significantly ahead of promised time. Very, very well done B & H !!!!

I have had this lens just over a week. I have shot many different scenes with different exposure variable. I have used this lens in my D850 and D500 with pleasing results. The lens is heavy, tack sharp and focus is very fast. Only draw back that I don't like is I can't find a way to use my filters for this lens.

Heavy but a great lens!

I couldn't be happier with my decision to purchase this lens. After weeks of research and reviews i finally decided to go for it. This lens is so sharp with very little to almost no distortion at the widest focal length. It's a great addition to my collection and I'll be using it very often for video work as well.

Can you attach circular ND filter?

Can you attach circular ND filter?
Asked by: Anonymous
For Canon EF mount cameras and DSLRs, the rear-mount filter holder FHR-11 will work. Otherwise, filter holders that have a round clamp to attach further down the lens than the filter threads will work. Mirrorless camera adapters are available that have ND filters built in, like Canon EF to RF for example.

I use mine with Nikon's original FTZ adapter on my Z 5. It works fine. I would assume that the lens would work with the Z 6 and all Z mount cameras when using Nikon's FYZ adapter.
