What does "SA-CD" mean on the back? Will this play in surround while using FM? It looks like it accepts CD players. Will it play in surround using a CD player? https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1391695-REG/sony_strdh590_str_dh550_5_2_channel_av_receiver.html/qa
Asked by: Roger
Hi Roger, thanks for your inquiry. The SA-CD means Super Audio CD. The receiver doesn't have a built-in CD player. but it has inputs for a CD player. Additionally, you can use multichannel stereo to get sound from all speakers when playing FM radio and CD player. You can check the Help Guide for more details: https://helpguide.sony.net/ha/strdh59/v1/en/index.html I hope this helps. Regards, Erin

is there a turntable input?

is there a turntable input?
Asked by: william
Hi, william! Unfortunately, it doesn't have an input for standard turntables. To connect a turntable that only has a PHONO output jack, you need to connect a phono equalizer (not supplied) between the turntable and this receiver. You may want to consider the STR-DH190.
