My Swiss Army knife camera

I'm old and started my interest in photography years ago with SLR cameras and then evolved to DSLR cameras. Two years ago I bought my first Fujifilm mirrorless cameras before going to Cuba. Those cameras performed so well that I have now completely switched to Fuji. This X-E3 is my second E3 as I sold my first one to a friend. For most of my photography I find that the X-E3 with the Fuji 18-55 lens is perfect. I also have an X-T2, X-Pro2 and X-100F which are all used and enjoyed with a nice array of Fuji lenses, but the camera I carry with me everywhere I go is my Swiss Army knife X-E3/18-55. I recommend this camera/lens highly!

An Awesome Compact Rig!

Im a fashion/portrait photographer who is used to carrying a huge dslr and L lenses.   I wanted a camera I could take everywhere and travel with, and the X-E3 fits that bill perfectly. The manual dials and controls really add to the usability, while also delivering an almost nostalgic feel of older manual cameras.  I paired it with  a Fuji 35mm f2 for a 50mm equivalent, and couldnt be happier.  I will most likely buy a 18mm f2 in the near future for landscape and travel photography.  In the end, this is a great compact camera which has excellent image quality for its size.  I couldnt recommend it enough!

Little Xpro2

I had the opportunity to try out my xe3 on a recent trip to NYC. Having experienced an aching back carrying my xpro2 on previous trips, I was eager to see how portable and comparable this new camera would be. I have nothing but good to say about this little guy. It is easy to use and program for my liking although I have to say that I didn’t use the touch screen and preferred the dials and menu items I with which was already familiar on my Xpro2. The kit 23mm f/2 lens is a gem! It’s compact size does not give up quality. I’m so pleased to add this camera to my Fujifilm family.

After lots of comparison shopping across the Fuji line and then against Sony, I finally resolved on the X-E3, and it's turned out to be a good decision. With the 18-55mm kit lens, it is versatile and compact, easy to carry (a prime consideration since I was coming from Nikon). Image quality is absolutely excellent. Still in early days, but I am very pleased.

Amazing camera - portable and perfect for travel

I have the X-E2S and love the feel of it as well as the images it provides. I also have gotten used to the X-T2 improvements and upgraded to the X-E3 primarily for the improved sensor and film simulations. Given the great price, I got the bundle with the 23mm f/2 as the bundle is the equivalent to the X-100F but with the flexibility of Interchangeable lenses. So far, I love it! But the touch screen takes some getting used to. I actually turned off some of the features and only use the touch screen to perform similar functions as the control wheel on the X-T2. If you're looking for a great portable camera, I highly recommend it!

Sensor issue

I purchased this camera last October after preordering. I love many things about this camera: size, weight, ergonomics. Unfortunately it has an issue with the sensor that took a while to figure out. At f/22 you can see lines across the top of the image, esp landscape shots. I am still hopeful the Fuji support will resolve this issue, I’ve had to send the camera back 3 times. I have been without this camera since late January. I would give this camera 4-5 stars if the sensor wasn’t defective, but with Fuji support being so slow in resolving this issue, I cannot give more than 2 stars at this point.

A+! Another Incredible Fuji Product!

After a 20 year incubation period, from point and shoot Canons, Nikons, and Sonys, I purchased the first variant of Fuji X100 in about 2012. Not quite satisfied, I migrated a couple of Fuji X iterations to the X-E3. WOW! Great camera! Simple and powerful! I love the fact I can change the shutter and ISO settings from a quick front-button push, and can tailor my settings from the Q-quick menu! And the online support of Fuji X supporters has been both an education and fun! This is my 2nd X-E3 of which I'll now begin professional shoots. The X-E3, with peak focusing, live view, and 100% EVF allow me to easily use the newer, high quality manual lenses coming out of Asia. Highly recommended!

Almost perfect

I shoot a lot of Nikon DSLR's and have a number of Fuji X camera's as well. The X-E3 is by far my favorite. I have not found anything I cannot shoot with it and having the ability to quickly flip to video only makes it better. I shoot travel, concert, nature, products and a wide mix of everything. With the beautifully made Fuji lenses and excellent OIS on some of them you cannot go wrong. Personally not much I would change on the X-E3. As long as you are right eye dominant then the touch screen works as you would want. The size and weight are great. The image quality is superb. I plan on getting a second body just so I do not have to change lenses so often.

I find the face eye detect auto focus fine. The Fuji camera & lens are very good, I am coming from a Nikon D 500 system. The size & wgt. reduction is major.

not sure which lens you are referring to and I have Fuji lens hoods for 14mm. 2.8, 23mm f2, 50mm f2 and 18-55 kit lens. The hood for the 14mm and 18-55 kit lens are interchangeable.

Does the 23mm lens in this kit come with a lens hood?
Asked by: Ronald
No it does not. However there is one made by Fujifilm and other manufacturers. I am very glad that I bought that camera and the 23mm at the same time. It works well and I would not let the lens hood dearth interfere with my purchase.
