As I see under the Key Features "For Telephoto Lenses 70-200mm and up", my concern is does this mean I would not be able to use it with Tamron 15-30mm F/2.8 and Nikon 24-70mm F/2.8 lenses?
Asked by: p
This plate is for lenses with a built in tripod ring, which is where you would normally mount a quick release plate to offset the weight of the lens on the camera.

Is this compatible with the Olympus 300mm f 4 lens?
Asked by: Frances
Thank you Frances - yes it will. Please do make sure you purchase the SpiderPro Lens Collar plate V2. The V2 is our latest version (has a place for the 1/8" wrench inside the plate design) and will fit a larger selection of long lenses. It has Arca-Swiss style feature already built-in. Many thanks, Spider Team

Can I attach the plate to my large lens and carry the lens with no camera attached?
Asked by: Tp
Thank you Terry.. yes, you could, but at your own risk. Couple of points to note A. Please DO NOT carry your long lens via the regular SpiderPro plate. This plate is not designed to carry lenses - SpiderPro regular plate is made to attach onto the camera body - it WILL rotate/change position while in use on the lens alone which can lead to de-threading. B. We have a medium and large lens pouches that are designed to do this job very effectively (will better protect your lens from the elements in the process). Our SpiderPro Dual camera system will allow you to carry your long lens+camera (via our Spider Lens Collar Plate!) so you are ready for anything that comes your way without changing lenses. You can also upgrdae from a single cam system to a dual. This may sound like a sales pitch, but the above ARE the more viable/safer solutions.. All the very best, Spider Team

Can this be attached directly to the camera to make it possible to immediately fit the camera into an arca-styled tripod? (No attachment to a telephoto foot.)
Asked by: Joseph
Thank you Joseph - The LCP was not designed to attach to any camera body, so we do not imagine it will hold well (especially on heavier cameras). If you need to attach to Arca-Swiss tripod directly, please use the Spider Light Plate - this plate is made for Mirrorless bodies and has a built-in Arca Swiss features (just like the LCP) that allows you to attach directly. If you are using DSLR, please use the SpiderPo plater, just add our AS plate (it will connect right on top of the Spider plate). Please email us at spiderholster.com for more details. Thank you for using Spider Holster! Spider Team
