Mixing a beloved zoom range with a relatively compact design, the Nikon F-mount 70-210mm f/4 Di VC USD from Tamron is a versatile lens covering a useful portrait to medium telephoto perspectives. Its constant f/4 maximum aperture maintains consistent brightness throughout the zoom range and offers increased control over depth of field for achieving selective focus effects. A minimum focusing distance of 3.1' along with a 1:3.1 maximum magnification benefit working with close-up subjects and the rounded nine-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality. Complementing the optical assets is a USD autofocus motor, which delivers notably quick, quiet, and precise focusing performance that suits both stills and video applications. Also, four-stop-effective Vibration Compensation helps to minimize the appearance of camera shake for sharper handheld shooting in difficult lighting conditions. Additionally, the lens is moisture-resistant and has a fluorine coating on the front element to enable its use in trying environmental conditions.

Tamron 70-210mm f/4 Di VC USD Reviews
It's a pretty good lens
I like this lens
Impulse Buy Goes Right
I purchased this lens on a whim when it was on sale. It is used with a Blackmagic PCC 6K Pro. I was looking at used lenses with the same specs but at twice the price. I'm just getting into interchangeable lenses for shooting video. Works great for my needs. I posted a short video of the TAMRON 70-210 in action with the 6K Pro on my YouTube Channel OnOn2Ski. Very good lens - great value
I had been looking at this lens and when B&H had a sale I decided to purchase. Very impressed with the lens, and the sale price was an added bonus. While this lens might not be as sharp as the Tamron SP offerings, the sharpness is so close I can accept it. This lens gives me the range of a much larger and heavier 70-200 2.8 G2 and I can hand hold and carry as a travel / walk around lens. I do not need a tripod with this lens so that gives me much more flexibility over the larger 2.8 version. The autofocus is quick and accurate on my Canon DSLR's and EOS RP. My only comment would be the ergonomics. The zoom ring is at the end of the lens. This doesn't bother me as much as the fact that you can't access the zoom ring with the hood reversed. Not a big deal unless you are needing to get a quick shot and grab the camera/lens out of the bag without mounting the hood. Even at the full MSRP this lens is a bargain. The lens hood is included unlike Canon's non-L lenses. Unless you are needed absolute tack sharp images for larger prints, this lens is great. I can't tell much difference between this lens and the 70-200 2.8 G2 in prints up to 12X18.
Reasonably compact
Really nice that it maintains its' f stop though its' zoom range, which is essential if you're going to do a zoom during a video shot. The auto focus will not work with my Red Komodo unless I switch off the VC Image Stabilization.
Very Impressed
Extremely impressed with this lens, mind you I got it at a great price $379 and keep in mind, it is not a wildlife moving target lens but it works well for landscape. People and kids, yeah, birds inflight, no. Paired with my 5D MK III it is my go to grand kid set up and well worth it
Great lens
I love this lens, it's perfect.
Good lens for it money
Very light lens, but not so good autofocus, like on canon lenses. Good for its money
My experience wasn't so good
My experience with this lens wasn't so good let me tell you why I reallly really really wanted this lens so much it was on discount then it went up again to the regular price I called BH and they were kind enough and so helpful like the best ordering experience ever !!! But here's the problem when I received the lens I thought It would work out of the camera turns out it's doesn't so I ordered The tap in turns out that didn't work I called Tamron and they explained that you need the original canon adapter to be able to take advantage of the auto focus this is something you have to take in mind im so disappointed because I'm going to the ppa on Sunday and I wanted To use the lens other wise I would Have giving it the 5 stars but thank you BH !! I love Your service
