question

Can this flash be used with the Pocket Wizard Plus 3 transceivers ?
Asked by: Steven
The Sony HVL-F60RM Wireless Radio Flash does not have a PC sync terminal, so you would have to purchase a hot shoe to PC adapter to connect the PocketWizard Plus III to the Sony HVL-F60RM Wireless Radio Flash. You may purchase either the Vello HSA-PVU Hot Shoe Adapter with Safe Voltage Conversion, B&H # VEHSAPVU, or the Vello Universal Hot Shoe Adapter - PC Connection + Top Shoe, B&H # VEHSAPSU, to connect the PocketWizard Plus III Transceiver Radio Slave to the Sony HVL-F60RM Wireless Radio Flash.

question

I was wondering if this Sony HVL F60 RM Flash has the overheating problems that I have been reading about? I'm thinking of getting this flash to use on my Sony A9 camera and I just wanted to know if the problems with this flash is as bad as what I have been reading about or is it just overblown rhetoric. Thank You!
Asked by: peter cologgi
The B&H staff member who tested the Sony HVL-F60RM recently said Internally, Sony has made material and computational changes that it claims have doubled its resistance to overheating. I did not encounter any problems with overheating during my test.

question

Will it provide AF illumination even if my A9 has a built in AF illuminator? Does flashhead tilt or bouncing disable HSS mode?
Asked by: Harry
We do not know for sure at this time but believe that you will have one or the other AF illumination. We see no prohibition for any use of High Speed Sync.
