Studio Essentials Standard 7" Reflector Reviews
Poor Quality Control
The Bowens mount does not fit my flash, the edges are rough and it looks as though it may have been attached backwards
Fit and finish off (would not fit two of my bowens lights.
off. I hope this isn't all of them.
This reflector would not mount onto my Bowens-mount light. The mounting points are too wide to fit into the slots on the light. I had ordered two of these; they're both on their way back to B&H right now.
did not fit
The Bowens mount lugs would not fit any of my Godox lights. The mounting lugs appeared to be flared out at the bottom and too wide to fit the mount. I needed that reflector in a hurry and wound up filing the lugs down while a customer waited. This is the kind of stuff you would expect from ebay!
Fantastic light modifiers for speed lights
I use the Godox TT685C Thinklite TTL Flash with the Godox S-Type Speedlite Bracket for Bowens. This reflector and grids add a beautiful dimension to the quality of light from my speed lights.
Light control at an perfect price
I purchased a Westcott FJ400 and needed a quality light modifier. These work perfectly to shape the light from my Westcott FJ400 and have solid construction.
Good . . . but
Reflector is strong and fits well. Grids are of good quality - except for the fact that one of the removal tabs tore off one of the grids when I was doing a test fitting. I've had Speedotron grids work for years under heavy use by students and have not had this happen.
grid pattern in picture
the grids show up when using ad200 bare bulb. I believe it can be removed with some thin tracing paper or something behind the grid
