Matthews Hollywood Beefy Baby Double Riser Reviews
The name says it all.
It's a Beefy Baby Stand made by a company that I consider the standard. Well built. A couple of bucks more than the competition, but worth it.
classic, strong, pretty
Not too heavy, but better than aluminum when you are testing the limits of Aluminum Avenger stands on a smaller production.
Great product! Terrible shipping though
This is a very sturdy stand that works well in small or large spaces. The only thing I didn't like was how B&H shipped this item. The box has no padding or foam to protect the item, so upon delivery there was a large hole in side of box where one of the knuckles broke through. I've ordered two other triple risers and had the same shipping issue. Wish there was a better way for them to protect an expensive product!
Matthews Beefy Baby
Having read many reviews here at B & H of light stands, I saw a repeating theme, buy cheap and replace. Matthews Beefy Baby takes a different approach, quality parts, good engineering and it will last a lifetime. Easy to work and can hold a load, steady as a rock.
The name says it all
I can only speak for myself, I hate buying something and putting it through it's paces only to have it fail when you need it the most. This light stand is robust and will last a long time
Such a well built stand, you can't go wrong. They are heavy enough to do the job.
Can't go wrong with this stand. The legs are large gauge square tubular steel, rock solid stuff. That is probably where most of the weight is honestly. The rest is mostly aluminum but is robustly built. Even looking at the mounting pin I am impressed. Even though my last stands were only like $50 before this they're not even worth that I realize. I don't want to bad mouth other brands on this website but I think you know who I am talking about.... The idea that you could put 20lbs on some of those other stands is a joke. Anyway, not going to point fingers just gonna say I won't be wasting time and money on lesser made products. (Sorry if that seems arrogant)
This is a monster!
it is a Monster stand, a little heavy but forth every penny!
