The CB12 Connbox from Rycote is designed to be used with a pair of ORTF stereo Schoeps CCM mics in an ORTF windshield kit (AE). It solves connection problems by enabling professional sound recorders to achieve clean, high-quality audio recordings. Acting as a transition connector and anchor point for the microphone tail, the cable lengths are set to work with the microphone fitted in the windshield, without touching the internal surface of the basket. The soft cable reduces the transmission path of cable-borne noise. This Connbox features a gold 5-pin Neutrik X-series XLR connector and an ultra-soft Mogami star-quad cable. Included are two Schoeps LEMO cables to connect microphones (sold separately) to the Connbox.
