Fortinge PRO Studio Overview

Featuring a 70/30 beamsplitter glass, a rod-based support rig, and a high-contrast LCD monitor, the Fortinge Forprompt 17" Studio Teleprompter Set is a ready-to-go studio teleprompting solution. The teleprompter itself comes partially assembled, so only minimal setup time is required. Since a sliding quick release baseplate and height-adjustable riser are part of the rod-based rig design, you can use the Forprompt Studio Teleprompter with nearly any camera you want.

With the 17" monitor, your talent should be able to read prompter text from up to 25 feet away. To show text on the prompter, connect it via the composite, VGA, or HDMI terminals to your computer running the included Forprompt software. If you have another preferred software, you can use that as well, as the prompter itself is not software-dependent. Text and images shown on the monitor can be flipped to ensure the correct orientation for the on-camera talent.

I purchased this teleprompter to use for our promotional videos. It's really user friendly, easy to carry and set up. The height is adjustable and the stability is really successful. Exactly worth it

I see that the prompter comes in a cardboard box. Do you sell or recommend a flight case for travel and protection against the elements?
Asked by: Darby
I recommend the Pelican Vault V550 Standard Equipment Case with Foam Insert (BH #PEV550FB). The Pelican case is crush proof and weather resistant.

Is the SDI input option available separately, to install onto my PROS21?
Asked by: David
Follow-up to question: The PROS21 display has a spot for SDI input and loop output already on the chassis, just no BNCs installed. I presume there is an internal SDI I/O board that can be added to the PROS21 to make it a PROS21-SDI, and was just wondering if this board is available separately, as an upgrade to my PROS21. Thanks for your help.

LOOKS LIKE THIS IS ROD-SUPPORTED. what if i use a lens that also requires rod support? will it still work? if not, is there a Fortinge solution that is NOT rod-supported? it looks like Fortinge is a good quality solution. thanks!
Asked by: Christopher
This set up uses standard 15mm rods. If you are using a lens that requires a lens support then you will need to make sure that there is enough room on the rods for both the lens support and the teleprompter to mount. If you need longer/shorter rods you may swap out the rods as needed with rods made by other manufactures.
