Along with the enhanced resolution, this monitor also features a 1000:1 contrast ratio, a 250 cd/m² brightness rating, a 5 ms response time, and support for up to 1.07 billion colors. Setup is simple thanks to HDMI, DVI-DL, and DisplayPort inputs as well as a dedicated USB 3.0 hub to connect USB compatible peripherals directly to the display. 99% Adobe RGB
The Adobe RGB color space offers a greater range of color reproduction for shades of blue and green, resulting in a more realistic color representation for outdoor and nature photography.
10-Bit Color Display
Enjoy smooth color gradations on a 10-bit display which shows more than one billion colors.
14-Bit 3D LUT and Delta E ≤ 2
The 14-bit 3D Look Up Table (LUT) improves RGB color blending accuracy, resulting in improved color reproduction. Having Delta E≤2 in both Adobe RGB and sRGB color spaces gives you a true and representative view of the original image.
Hardware Calibration
Hardware calibration allows you to adjust the image processing chip in the monitor without changing the graphics card output data. It keeps images consistent with its original copies without being affected by graphic settings.
Palette Master Element Calibration Software
With the use of Palette Master Element and a calibrator, you can tune and maintain the color performance of the monitor at its most optimal state.
Extra Space for Viewing Convenience
Enjoy the extra space offered by the SW240's 24.1" 1920 x 1200 screen size with 16:10 ratio - perfect for professional photographers, or just daily usage. The SW240's slightly larger size is perfect for viewing two full A4 sized documents side by side, allowing photographers to compare the content at a glance.
Color Mode HotKey
The SW240's inbuilt Color Mode HotKey allows you to swiftly switch between 3 preset color modes without having to press other OSD buttons. And you can also customize your preferred preset modes based on your own personal display needs by pressing the HotKey for 5 seconds.
Advanced Black & White Mode
View your photos in a black and white film effect. Choose from three different black and white presets to preview your photos in before you perform actual adjustments in your photo processing program.
Shading Hood
A detachable shading hood is available as an optional accessory for SW240 which can effectively reduce the monitor's screen glare resulting from ambient lighting, ensuring superb color accuracy required for professional work. The shading hood can be used for both portrait and landscape orientations.

If you are looking for a professional imaging monitor, this has it all at a decent price point.

I've had this monitor for just short of a year now and I love it. Everything about it is great. The stand feels solid and articulates well. The color accuracy when calibrated looks perfect. This is a great starter monitor for those looking to get into graphic design and photography where accuracy is crucial.

Colors are very bright and true. This monitor is very sturdy and sits at my eye level. Words are very easy to read.

Set up was extremely easy. Quick access to color modes and plenty of adjustments for custom settings. I calibrated with the XRite i1 Display Plus which passed all the available tests. The monitor desk mount is solid, has a smooth friction height slide, and rotates nicely. Definitely a great value.

WoW! This replaces a 9 yo Dell color accurate monitor that is now failing. It was good in its day but BenQ SW240 blows it out of the water. I calibrated it with the i1Display Pro using the i1Profiler software and what I see on the screen is what I get after printing. BenQ's calibrating software is easy to use but I find the Profiler to be quite accurate. I purchased the monitor at a time when the shading hood was included but I think that is no longer the case. If you are shopping for a 24 color accurate monitor at a reasonable price then get this. The worst that happens is you can send it back if you don't like it but I doubt that's what you will do. It's a keeper!

Great photo monitor for the price and size

I've been using the SW240 as my primary display for a little over two months and I love it. If you bought or are considering buying this display, you are likely a photographer who is interested in producing digital or print images that match the subjects that you captured or in the way that intend them to be seen. The display is connected to my Dell XPS 15 laptop. The primary use is for photo editing and printing using mostly Lightroom and Photoshop. It is the perfect size to fit into the hutch sitting on my desk. BenQ recommends that you calibrate the monitor using their included Palette Master Element software. Results of calibration using the software coordinate with the display's hardware calibration to provide well balanced images. A supported colorimeter is needed. I use a datacolor Spyder X Pro. Other brands are supported, like Calibrite, and are available from B&H. You can consult your B&H expert to get you an appropriate one for your system. A typical display condition is that it comes out of the box too bright. If you print, with or without soft proofing, the resulting printed image is typically too dark. To counteract this I set the brightness/luminance to 80 cd/m2 from the default 120 through the Advanced then Profiling workflow options in the software. I leave the other settings at the default values and then proceed with calibration and validation. There was a noticeable difference of test images printed pre and post calibration. Post calibration prints were better than precalibration prints. This display, after calibration and soft proofing with the correct printer and paper profiles, provides the best rendered prints that I have made.

Wow

My expectations are rarely exceeded these days. But this monitor is like waking up in the land of Oz. The color pallet is amazing and 99% Adobe RGB is enough. Wow, what a difference. I've been color correcting in the dark. This monitor reads ambient light so that even without a hood (I suppose direct sunlight would pose a challenge) the colors look the same. Even at oblique angles. Best $400 bucks I've spent in a long time. It will change your game, highly recommended.
