Been working the K-70 for 5+ years in real estate. Well-used, well-loved. New K-70 body takes over frontline service with older body as seamless backup. It goes and goes.

This is almost the exact same camera as the new Pentax KF only $373 cheaper at the time of this writing. It doesn't have many updates over the K-30, K-50, and K-S2 that I owned either, but it's easy to use. If you liked those cameras, you'll like this one. Unfortunately, if you didn't like the poor autofocus on those cameras, you'll be disappointed in this one too. It's the same. To get decent autofocus, you would have to buy the Pentax K-3iii for $1K more or switch brands. Those brands, however, won't give you weather sealing, IBIS, and two command dials at this price.

I am very pleased with the photos I get with this camera and lens. The only concern with it is the layout of buttons on the back. It is very easy to get into other modes and options such as multiple exposures if I am not careful where my thumb moves as I hold the camera.
Love the camera but wary of the kit lens.

After being away for 20+ years I was wanting to get back into photography. I'd looked around at a couple of Nikon mirror-less systems, but Pentax Spotmatics were good to me back in the seventies (put me through college, in fact) and I still had several K-mount zooms left over from an MX system I once had. The K-70 package seemed a good choice considering price and features for getting started again. The body is fine but I don't know about the kit lens that was included. The illustrations like the picture here all show the SMC Pentax-DA 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 AL WR as the kit lens, but the one included in my package was the DA L version with a plastic mount and lacking the quick-shift focus system. Perhaps down in the details of the package it specifies this lens but I missed it before ordering, and suspect I would have gone body-only and not the package had I known in advance I was getting the DA L lens. Optically the DA and DA L may be identical, but I'm concerned about durability and I think the quick-shift focusing would have been useful. I can totally recommend the Pentax K-70 body, but be sure the DA L lens suits your needs before ordering. Minus 1 star due to the included lens.

Great camera at a very reasonable price! B&H Accessory Kit was a nice inclusion! I have two higher caliber Pentax bodies, but needed the swivel screen on this K-70. No regrets!

I am this camera a few months now. Many functions available in professional cameras are available in this K70. The picture quality is excellent and the adjustments available are not available in many other brands. The all-weather body is very useful. The WiFi connection and photos transfer to the mobile or computer is useful. Though feels heavy, once accustomed to this DSLR, love it.
