The SOLOSHOT3 with Optic65 Camera from SOLOSHOT is a robotic camera and tracking system that allows you to capture yourself at resolutions up to 4K UHD as you move through the scene, with no cameraman required. Simply wear the waterproof and shockproof Tag transmitter using an included armband and clip, and the SOLOSHOT3 Base automatically pans, tilts, and sends zoom and focus commands to the included Optic65 camera to keep you in the shot and in focus at distances up to 2,000' away.

The SOLOSHOT3 Base has a load capacity of 1.5 lb and accepts either an optional Camera Adapter plate to support lightweight cameras, or the custom-designed Optic25 and Optic65 cameras that clip directly to the top of the Base. This bundle includes the Optic65 camera, which features a 12.4 megapixel 1/2.3" backside-illuminated CMOS sensor that supports 4K UHD video at 30 fps, 1080p up to 60 fps, and 720p up to 240 fps for slow-motion playback. It is equipped with a 65x telescopic optical zoom lens that provides a 35mm-equivalent focal range of 24 to 1560mm, making it perfectly suited to tracking a SOLOSHOT3 Tag-wearing subject, even over long distances. In addition to video, the camera can also take 12MP still photos in bursts up to 30 fps, as well as set intervals for creating time lapse videos.

Designed for quick-and-easy setup, the entire SOLOSHOT3 system can be fired up in under a minute. Just attach the Base to your tripod head via the 3/8"-16 threaded hole and clip in the Optic65 camera. Unlike previous generations of SOLOSHOT systems, no calibration is required, and it can even be moved at anytime and it will continue to automatically track the subject. The system can be controlled using a built-in touchscreen display or remotely over Wi-Fi on your smartphone or tablet.

The SOLOSHOT3 Base is powered using a built-in 6,600mAh lithium-ion battery that provides around 3.5 hours of continuous use. For added convenience, the Optic65 camera draws power from the same battery. The Tag uses a built-in 550mAh battery that lasts around 3.5 hours and can be re-charged by attaching to an accessory port found on the front of the Base.

Note: The SOLOSHOT3 is for outdoor use only. For Indoor Use, the separately-available Indoor Accessory is required.

    SOLOSHOT3 with Optic65 Camera is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Still working out bugs Waited almost two years for this and got it on pre-order discount and it is still not a finished product. Lack of documentation. Incomplete features and tracking issues. Luckily a lot of it can be fixed with software updates. It took me three tries to get it going and it was difficult to replicate success. After a software update and tinkering with settings, it seems to be running fine. Terrible armband to hold the tracker. Velcro is weak and not suitable for surfing. Learning curve is high on this product and it's frustrating. For those who have patience and believe the company will support the product, then this is potentially a great product. I would not pay full price for it right now though.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from SoloShot 3 Worth a look, I'm enjoying mine. Updated on 12/31/2017 After waiting for over 2yrs with a pre-order direct with the company, the product was delivered. There is room for improvement, and SoloShot is I believe working to improve the product. There is some out of focus during zoom in/out. Tracking is good and improving with each new software release. I believe the company will be releasing the indoor, camera adapter, editing software but, just not sure how long it will take them. Bottom line is the soloshot3 allows you to film without someone manning the camera. Put the tag on yourself, your kid, the dog and it will film them. Pretty Cool ;-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVE MY SOLOSHOT! I have had the greatest experience with my Soloshot. It works great in the arena tracking my horse and I as we go through our courses! Despite having telephone poles, tree's etc. I have not had an issue with tracking. It also works great for filming soccer games etc.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It tracks like it claims. RC fun Received about 1 week ago. Using to film my drone and rc plane. My wife held the video camera while SOLOSHOT did its job. When we compared the footage it was night and day (sorry honey). SOLOSHOT was able to keep up with the flying even at low close fast passes. A few times I must have been beyond the 2000’ range because the base stopped moving but when we came into range again it kicked on right away. I am eager to try the live stream feature. I think our club will enjoy showing our events live. I see there is motion time lapse which I don’t anticipate using but cool feature. And manual control. I tried this briefly and seems like it turns the robotic camera into a typical video camera. That can be fun indoors filming me repairing my planes ?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome! Really great experience so far! Tracks me well and the quality when I pop the SD card into my laptop is pretty amazing. Every now and then there are a few small glitches, but I can usually work through them and they should go away with software updates. I can see this being really useful for a lot of applications. Here's my last vid clip for a reference!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great Idea That Simply Doesn't Work We purchased this unit to film alpine ski training. After spending a couple weeks updating, trying different configurations, and contacting Soloshot directly, we came to the conclusion this product just doesn't work. The camera could not consistently track the tag (we had 4 tags; none worked effectively). With nearly 8 hours of attempted footage, we had only approx. 30 sec. of successful/usable footage and this occurred during our first use; even this took a lot more effort than anticipated to capture. As we continued to use this product over the course of two weeks, tracking performance become so increasingly poor that I'd call the tracking non-existent. While ours could've been a defective unit, based on other online feedback, we came to the conclusion the greater likelihood is that this product is simply not ready for prime time; it doesn't work and several advertised features are not currently available (future release). We think the product is a great idea and want to love it but this should be a hard pass.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great - Make sure you download latest Software I used several times to film my daughters soccer game. I had a very positive experience. They are constantly putting out new software to make the user experience easier. I got great footage and was able to really enjoy the whole game. This technology is groundbreaking and will only get better!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I was patient and now I'm very happy Received my SOLOSHOT 65x right after they started shipping the first releases. for many reasons did not have time to use it, and since I saw initial software release had some bugs I was not rushing to setup. Since that time I have done a few software updates and now am using most current as of Thursday April 5. WOW. I went to the local park, turned on base, turned on tag. After a few moments both seemed ready to begin calibration as evidenced from the home screen on base was up and the tag did not have any lines though the 3 icons (track, record, GPS). I hit the Track button and on the next screen I was able to change settings of zoom (extra tight all the way to extra wide: I selected medium). I chose 1080P60frames as I don't have a 4k TV at home so figured no need to eat up memory for no reason. Then I hit Blue icon on base and it asked me what activity I was doing. I chose Field. The base did some dancing (spinning back and forth) and in about 45 seconds it stopped spinning. I walked away from the base with tag in my hand and it was staring right at me. I moved side to side to test and still there. All seemed solid so I attached the tag to a small Remote control car. For the next 20 minutes the base seemed to track the car perfectly. When I was done with my testing I wrapped up the show, went home and pulled the memory card to view the action. I will say this, VERY impressive indeed. I was blasting the car very fast far away and fairly close up to the base. The automatic pan, tilt and Zoom worked great. The medium focus kept the car in the frame the entire time. I am confident that I could even pull the zoom tighter and still have the subject in frame. I have to give this 5 stars because it would be impossible for me to film the car and drive it at the same time, and there is no one that I know that would have interest in sitting there with a camera in hand filming my car drive around a park. I am excited to use this at my local track with my real car racing, and also with our Shifter cart. Should be fantastic to help me improve my lackluster skills.
