ikan PT3700 HB Reviews

Ballin, but understandably heavy

Your talent won't EVER have trouble reading this screen. It's enormous and bright, though I don't understand the 4:3 aspect ratio for a teleprompter these days, 16:9 has been the standard for a LONG time now (though maybe helpful if you're shooting 9:16). The magnetic attachment of the hood is awesome and extremely convenient, although the hood dimensions don't quite perfectly fit the frame toward the hinge, which is pretty disappointing considering the price, but functionally doesn't affect performance. The SKB rolling case it comes with is EXTREMELY nice. I wish the length of cable post-transformer were longer; with the prompter at talent standing height the weight of the transformer would otherwise dangle from the connector on the monitor if not taped to a support leg. Pretty much everything about this product screams durability, and it's got the weighty metal construction to prove it. Don't put this thing on weak legs. iKan's prompting software, though could use an UI update and finer scroll speed control, is quite usable and better than any of the freeware out there I personally tried.
