IK Multimedia Micro Overview

Styled in a special edition white finish, the iLoud Micro Monitors by IK Multimedia comprise a pair of Bluetooth-powered studio-quality speakers in an exceedingly compact frame. Although they are designed to accommodate most iOS and Android devices through Bluetooth, they can also be sounded via a built-in 3.5mm auxiliary input or a pair of unbalanced RCA inputs.

The monitors themselves are comprised of two 3/4" tweeters and two 3" woofers (one tweeter and one woofer per monitor) and are augmented by an onboard 56-bit DSP processor designed to ensure a linear frequency response. On the rear panel of the left monitor, you'll find a three-band EQ section. This allows you to tune both speakers to any given listening environment. Due to the size, portability, and tuning options of these speakers, they will suit many different listening environments.

I"m longer for a longer cable to connect the second speaker, but I can't find that type of cable. Can anyone recommend one?

Unfortunately, the iLoud Micro Monitors only offer a single size LINK cable to go between the speakers. Check out the iLoud MTM series, the next step in the iLoud series. These speakers don't require a LINK cable, but they are also meant to go almost anywhere you mix. https://www.ikmultimedia.com/iloudmtm/

Does this pair of monitors require an audio interface or can they be driven by a 1/8" out of my iMac?

No, an audio interface is not required. the iLoud Micro Monitors support Bluetooth input, as well as 3.5mm (Aux) and RCA input.

Can I feed 2 different sources to the 2 analog inputs and somehow switch between them?

The IK Multimedia iLoud Micro Monitors has one (1) input to be able to either take audio from the stereo RCA input or the 1/8” TRS input. It is not possible to internally switch between these sources, so you would need to manually connect whichever source you want to use.
