Beachtek DXA-MICRO PRO+ Overview

The Beachtek DXA-MICRO-PRO PLUS is an active audio adapter designed to deliver versatile connectivity and easy setup for videographers and camera operators using DSLRs or camcorders in television and film production. It allows simultaneous hook-up of external microphones and headphones for streamlined interfacing with your camera. Also, the included removable cheese plate grants stable and simple attachment of accessories. The internal LiPo battery keeps the DXA-MICRO-PRO PLUS running for up to ten hours; charging and external power is possible via a micro-USB connection.

48V phantom power is supplied to the XLR 3-pin input and 3.5V plug-in power is present at the three 3.5mm mic inputs. Low-noise preamps, selectable gain settings, and adjustable output levels enable enhanced audio quality and gain staging. Connect the 3.5mm stereo output to your camera and route camera's output to the dedicated monitor input for simple loop-back configuration. Monitor the microphones or camera output via the 3.5mm headphone output.

It does not come fully charged so yes I would recommend charging it specially if using a microphone that requires Phantom power 48v.

Does the 3.5mm input jack work with the Deity D3 Pro microphone? Does the jack provide plug-in power?

The Deity D3 Pro has a internal battery, it does not need the Beachtek to provide it with power. Just make sure to charge the microphone with the USB-C cable that they provide you with in the box.

Can I record through the stereo channel with a Rode Mini shotgun and use a wireless setup on the L or R channel and still record two separate audio channels?

Your camera can only record two channels of audio so you cannot use a stereo mic plus an additional mic at the same time.

When the output switch on the front of the unit is set to &quot;M&quot; for Mono, the XLR input will be sent to both the left and right audio tracks of your camera.

When all of the mic inputs are utilized, the output would send out a ' single stereo channel of everything you have connected to the inputs.

I'd like to use this with my Sony a6300 which has a 3.5 mic input, but no headphone/line out. Will I be able to monitor sound while recording? Also, will I need a line to microphone attenuation cable or does this feature mic out?

This audio adapter will allow you to monitor the audio before it goes out to your camera. The output level is set to MIC Level, and a 3.5mm cable is provided to connect to your camera.
