Alpine Astronomical Baader Overview

Centered on the 656.3nm wavelength and passing a mid-range 35nm half-bandwidth, the 50.8mm round Alpine Astronomical Baader H-Alpha 35nm MidBand CCD Imaging Filter is ideally suited for use with CCD imaging systems on optical systems, including telescopes of all configurations and apertures, ranging from a super-fast f/2.8 to a more moderate f/10.

Individually planeoptically polished, dielectric anti-reflection coated, and IR blocked, this filter uniformly passes the maximum amount of bandwidth possible to virtually eliminate halos, reflections, and ghosting. Its medium 35nm Full Width at Half Maximum (FWHM) bandwidth is ideal for interline CCD cameras as the lower sensitivity of interline transfer CCDs benefits from the more efficient 35nm. The 50.8mm round filter is offered here unmounted for custom applications and imaging rigs.

This filter is intended only for deep-sky astroimaging with CCD systems, and should never be used for direct solar viewing or solar photography as permanent injury to your eye and equipment can occur, up to and including blindness.
