Stripped to just the diagonal housing and mirror, the Alpine Astronomical Baader T-2 Maxbright Sitall Mirror Star Diagonal is ready for complete customization with any of their T-2 Astro modular accessory system components. With standard T-2 mounting threads on each side, you can attach a wide array of nosepieces, holders, extension tubes, filter holders, and adapters for both visual and photographic applications.
The mirror is made of Sitall, a crystalline glass-ceramic material that is thermally stable to resist the expansion and contraction that can occur during long astronomy sessions. The mirror is treated with a 140-layer dielectric coating system that boosts reflectivity to at least 99% for minimal light loss, and the surface is optically flat so it will not introduce distortion or other aberrations. As a mirror diagonal, the views through it will appear right side up, but vertically reversed.
