The ring is compatible with standard Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope (SCT) visual back threads—making this an ideal solution for directly mounting your DSLR to your telescope for astrophotography with just the addition of a camera-specific T-ring. Its compact form factor achieves the thread conversion with just a 1.5mm optical length, so there will only be a minimal effect on focal distance.
