Would the TVC or TFC version be better if I'm using a BH-40 ball head for photography? And for video, I'm using a Sony A7II. Thx.
The TVC version would be a more versatile option.

I'm curious of any recommendations for a tripod ...
I'm curious of any recommendations for a tripod that can be used both for photography purposes, but also have the ability to mount a motorized astrophotography tracking head to it at a later time? Id rather splurge on the tripod, being I'd use it for both. Id like it to be backwards compatible with either / or, multiple types of head options (basically be as future proof as it could be). Any advice would be really appreciated! Budget, midrange, and top of the line suggestions would be awesome! Id end up buying a higher end ($1000-ish) tracking head. Willing to hear what else you all suggest! Thanks
Regardless of how much you are willing to spend, make sure that the tripod you are looking at can carry the weight. Add up the weight of your camera, lens, tripod head, and any other gear that will be attached to the tripod. Then select your tripod legs on the basis of how much weight they will support. Then look at Alm. VS Carbon Fiber.

What is an equivalent tripod of quality to the ...
What is an equivalent tripod of quality to the TVC34L as RRS are clearly having supply chain issues?
Good morning. If you can't get a RRS the only other tripod I would consider is a Gitzo. I just checked the site and the only one that I would consider is the Gitzo Mountaineer series 3, LONG. I would pull the center Column out and store it foe resale, but then Gitzo use to offer the model with out the center column. Ask the guys at B&H. Hope that helps.
