Meyer-Optik Gorlitz Nocturnus Overview

Distinguished by its impressively fast design, the black, Sony E-mount Nocturnus 50mm f/0.95 III from Meyer-Optik Gorlitz is a versatile prime well-suited for working in low-light conditions. The bright f/0.95 maximum aperture also allows you to work with extremely shallow depth of field for isolating subjects, and a 15-blade diaphragm also contributes a pleasing, rounded bokeh quality. The 10-element optical design uses coated Schott glass to achieve notable clarity, sharpness, and color accuracy throughout the aperture range.

Designed for full-frame Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras, this lens can also be used with APS-C models where it provides a 75mm equivalent focal length.
Exceptionally bright f/0.95 maximum aperture excels in low-light conditions and also allows for control over depth of field for isolating subject matter using selective focus.
The 10 elements, seven groups optical design achieves impressive sharpness and clarity.
Coated Schott glass is used for high clarity and contrast, as well as reduced lens flare and ghosting.
Manual focus design permits working with subjects as close as 1.6' away.
Fifteen diaphragm blades help produce an artistic and distinctly circular bokeh quality.
