Can you still use the Auto, Aperture and Shutter Speed modes on the Sony A7III?

This adapter would accept Nikon lenses that have a built in aperture ring. All exposure and focus control will be done manually while the Sony E mount camera is set to manual exposure mode and the 'Shoot w/o Lens" function.

Yes, it is compatible with the Samyang 12mm f2.8 and you would not need an adapter for G lenses.

FotodioX Mount Adapter for Nikon F-Mount Lens to Sony E-Mount Camera allows you to connect Nikon F-mount lenses not Fujifilm. Unfortunatelythere are no lens adapters to connect a mirrorless lens to a mirrorless camera with a different lens mount.

How much does this change the focal range? Is it like adding a focus tubes for macros? So if I had 28mm lens what would be the aspect after adding the adapter?

This is just a physical adapter, so there is no focal value change. It appears to be an extender because it's not very flat, but that is only because the E-Mount side is typically on a mirrorless body, which is shallower than an SLR/DSLR body form, that's all.

This adapter can only accept Nikon F mount lenses with a manual aperture ring, otherwise there would be no control over the aperture when using Nikon AF-S series lenses.
