A versatile wide-angle prime for Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras, the Samyang AF 24mm f/2.8 FE is an especially compact, lightweight lens well-suited for travel, landscape, and street photography. The optical design incorporates three aspherical elements and two high refractive index elements to suppress spherical aberrations, which help to realize a high degree of sharpness and clarity throughout the aperture range. An Ultra Multi-Coating has also been applied to control flare and ghosting for increased contrast when working in strong lighting conditions. The lens's autofocus motor works in conjunction with Sony cameras' AF systems for quick and precise focusing performance, and manual focus override is also available for more refined control.
- E-Mount Lens/Full-Frame Format

Samyang AF 24mm f/2.8 Reviews
Good value for a decent lens
This is my second Samyang lens. The 35mm 2.8 is one of my sharpest lenses. The 24mm is not quite as sharp wide open as the 35mm and a little soft in the corners (as is the 35mm) but decent performance. Sharp overall at 5.6 All in all a good value.
Nice landscape lens
Nice and light walk around lens for my landscape photography with nice colors and sharpness.
Nice affordable wide Lens
Got this to be my gimbal lens and it's going to work great for that.
Great for shooting slightly wide on APS-C
I got this to put on an old Sony A6000 that I hadn't shot for a while since I'd upgraded to full frame. Takes lovely photos, works well, and makes a nice compact package. Reminds me why I liked the A6000.
Quick and dirty wide angle
In the world of zoom meetings and blogs, this lens has been exceptional. It's a little darker than I like for a prime, but for the price it can't be beat. Ultimately, I use this on my 873 and 874 on a daily basis. I don't like the idea of buying a 2.8 zoom to cover this wide, so this has been very handy. I have this paired with the 28-70 mm Sony lens for basic video shooting, and I'll add in the tampon 35-150 as soon as it's available. That is a strangely great lens combo for video and pictures I shoot.
Pretty darn good
A light and versatile lens for on the go photography. For those in a budget, this lens will not disappoint you. I won't say this lens is the greatest, but it takes some pretty sharp photos.
Small nice lens for everyday carry
Large Sony lenses are nice, but hard to carry around for casual use. This little Samyang lens instantly converts your mirrorless Sony camera into a highly portable travel or everyday carry camera. I use it with my Sony AR74 and the results are really nice. At 24mm, it is great for taking it to casual events and taking shots of the natural environment or the moment you are in, without the difficulty of hauling a large and heavy setup.
Nice lens for the money
Does everything I need in a wide lens. Very light is a positive
