FotodioX Macro Extension Tube Reviews
Cheap way to add macro

I have the Nikon F version of this macro tube set. If you want to add macro capability to your existing lenses, this is probably the cheapest way to do that. Are there any compromises due to the price? Optically, no, not as far as I can see. Build quality is acceptable, but doesn't feel premium. The screw threading attachment system is very functional, but means it takes longer to change your extension length; bellows would be super quick, but with this you might need to disassemble and reassemble everything multiple times if you don't get the magnification ratio you want right away. Also, since there are no electronic contacts, you have to change the aperture on the lens, not the camera body, so G lenses, AF-S P or E electronically controlled lenses will be difficult to use with these tubes. For those lenses, you will want something more high-tech. However, for Pre-AI, AI-S, or AF-D lenses, this will be great.
I think one very cool use of these tubes is adapting projector lenses or other non-standard optics; just get the required flange distance, add a helicons for focusing, and you have a pretty sweet setup on the cheap. I would love to try that at some point!

I didn't expect it to be this good with all the negativity I read about extension tubes, and even here. Used this with Laowa 25mm f/2.8 2.5-5x macro lens and it fits perfectly! Maybe some others that complain are probably using other heavy lenses. So my magnification has went from max 5x to 6.96x using all the tubes combined (49mm) with around 1-2 of working space between the lens and the subject!
I need that magnification for biting midges which are 1-3mm in size, and the can fill 25-75% of the frame! I extremely recommend them, but check the working distance of your lenses.
Down below the setup after the tubes (holding the upper grip with one hand), a cropped 4K video frame (4K@120fps, 1/250s, f/11, ISO 6400) of the biting midge before the tubes, and the setup before the tubes! I should make a better one next!

The lens mount didn't work properly.
Fits a Sony teleconverter

Yes, they're pretty flimsy and the build quality isn't great. I have to be especially careful taking them off as they aren't easily removed.
The big benefit of these rings, for me, is that unlike most other extension tubes out there, these ones DO fit around the protruding end of the Sony 1.4x and 2x teleconverters. Meaning I can use the teleconverters with all sort of lenses they're not designed for. I do this using lens supports - there's no way I'd let these extension tubes take any weight. As others have said, they're very flimsy. But their completely hollow design means they give me options I can't get with better-built extension tubes. So I rate them - with caution.

Inexpensive macro when fitted to your dust collecting manual lenses and film camera. They are screw together barrels of 7, 14, 28mm with the Nikon F mount and for an introduction to macro this is your cheap ticket to seeing a bugs eye view. Highly recommend this kit!

The most common complaint about these are poor and tight fit, making them hard to attach and remove. I had no problems with these.
