Compatible Cameras

4/3-Mount Cameras:
Olympus E-1, E-3, E-10, E-20, E-30, E-300, E-330, E-400, E-410, E-420, E-450, E-500, E-510, E-520, E-600, E-620, E-100 RS, Panasonic Lumix DMC-L10, L1
The camera mount coupling adapter and lens mount coupling adapter can be used independently of the extension tubes or you can add in the tubes for extreme macro photography. Because no other optical components are added with this kit, the image preserves the original optical properties of the lens.
This tube set includes a lens-coupling ring and a body-coupling ring; three extension tubes of various sizes are also included to build up to the desired magnification. Life size image can be achieved with this set up.
Attach the lens to the extension tube, then mount onto camera the same way a lens normally does. Each ring brings you closer to the subject as you increase the distance between lens and camera. Different lens lengths will require a different distance to be used from the subject. If the subject is not in focus move the camera closer or further from the subject until the subject comes into focus.

FotodioX Macro Extension Tube Reviews

Fits a Sony teleconverter

Yes, they're pretty flimsy and the build quality isn't great. I have to be especially careful taking them off as they aren't easily removed. The big benefit of these rings, for me, is that unlike most other extension tubes out there, these ones DO fit around the protruding end of the Sony 1.4x and 2x teleconverters. Meaning I can use the teleconverters with all sort of lenses they're not designed for. I do this using lens supports - there's no way I'd let these extension tubes take any weight. As others have said, they're very flimsy. But their completely hollow design means they give me options I can't get with better-built extension tubes. So I rate them - with caution.

The extension tubes did exactly what they advertised, but watch out because the edges of photos tend to be soft at faster apertures.

I haven't worked out how to get great macro photos with these tubes yet, but I've gotten some photos. They seem like a cheap alternative until I get a proper macro lens. They seem sturdy enough. The only tricky part is that the lens release on these tubes looks like a button you should push, but it's actually a lever that you tilt toward the camera body. I cleaned and lightly lubricated the threads. A bit of dark stuff, probably paint powder, came off, so that might be worth doing.

Very stabile

I didn't know it until I received them, but these screw together rather than using normal lens type connectors, making an absolutely solid tube. This makes them much more suitable for extreme macro use in my opinion. I don't think that was noted in the description.

Inexpensive high performance Macro

Inexpensive macro when fitted to your dust collecting manual lenses and film camera. They are screw together barrels of 7, 14, 28mm with the Nikon F mount and for an introduction to macro this is your cheap ticket to seeing a bugs eye view. Highly recommend this kit!

Can you use these rings to duplicate slides?
Asked by: Lewis J
Yes, with the right lens. Your slides will have to be evenly back lit and you will also need to have the system optically centered, aligned and stable. Extension tubes are made for general close up and macro photography. If you only want to copy slides check out "slide copiers" listed at B&H.

Would this fit on a canon t7i 58mm lens?
Asked by: Ella
These extensions tubes fit directly to the lens mount on a Micro 4/3 camera. If looking to fit directly to a 58mm front diameter on a Canon lens, you might want to check out the Hoya 58mm HMC Close-Up Filter Set II (+1, +2, and +4), B&H # HOCUS2MC58. This close up kit will help shorten the focusing distance of your lens for macro work. https://bhpho.to/2MNghaX
