I ordered the Alesis Recital Pro 88-key digital ...
I ordered the Alesis Recital Pro 88-key digital piano bundle. Do I need batteries or cables?
The Alesis Recital Pro 88-Key Digital Piano can be powered using the included AC power adapter or with six D batteries (batteries are not included). For cables, if you are going to connect the keyboard to an amplifier with a 1/4" input (or two 1/4" inputs), you can use a cable like the Pearstone PM-TRS 1/4" TRS Male to 1/4" TRS Male Interconnect Cable - 10' (B&H # PEPMTRS10) in any length you prefer. The keyboard's left output is for mono output or you can use both the left and right outputs for stereo audio.

Deciding between the Recital and the concert ...
Deciding between the Recital and the concert models. is the key feel very different?
hammer vs semiweighted adustable feel
Yes, there is a difference in the feel of the hammer action and semi-weighted keys on the Alesis Recital Pro and Concert 88-Key Digital Pianos. Hammer action keys can also be referred to as "fully-weighted" and the keys are heavier and can be harder to press down than semi-weighted keys which are lighter and very easy to press. Hammer action keyboards are often favored by players who have experience playing a traditional acoustic piano as this type of keyboard requires more strength and finger dexterity. There are also players who prefer the ease of semi-weighted keys. The sound of the piano can be the same whether the keyboard has hammer action or semi-weighted keys. Keyboards with semi-weighted keys are typically lighter, less expensive, and more portable. This is also true for the Alesis Recital Pro and Concert 88-Key Digital Pianos. There is a considerable difference in the weight of the two models. The Recital Pro weighs 26 pounds while the Concert model weighs 15.6 pounds.
