will this work with windows 7?
Asked by: Cathy
I hope your Win7 machine is OFF the network. It's been in end-of-life status by Microsoft for about a year now. So no security fixes to patch vulnerabilities used by virus writers. Very risky to have it on the net. And no, I don't work for MS! :-) I'd just hate to see a fellow B&H customer have an infected computer. Good health to both you and your computer!

Is this formatted exfat to be able to work with both PC and Mac to transfer files?
Asked by: Ben
In the 'Overview' tab it says it's formatted NTFS for Windows. If you want to just be able to copy files to/from either Windows or Mac then reformat as exFat. But you must format to HFS+ to use it as a Time Machine drive.

BOTH my drives either don't mount, don't eject, or hide files. Using Mojave, tried HFS and ExFAT, no dice. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Asked by: Echo
If you are using a hub, try to connect the drives directly to the system. It is very unlikely 2 drives would exhibit this type of behavior. If that does not work, they could be defective and would need to be replaced by WD. They include a 3 year warranty with WD. If you are still under the 30 days from the date of purchase and got them from B&H, you can contact our customer service team for a replacement at [email protected]
