The software quality control has gone downhill

I used to love my Loupedeck. I would edit 1000's of sports images weekly. About 6 months ago, it seems that the software quality control has disappeared. My Loupedeck crashes 3-4 times a day. The new software has critical bugs... The arrow advancement keys in Lightroom don't even work! It seems like they are leaving it to the customers to find the issues. And good luck getting a date on when it will be fixed. It's a great product but lately, their software quality is really subpar. I wish they would get this quality issue addressed.

Could be better, but too big.

The main purpose for me purchasing this product was to speed up my photography editing workflow in Adobe Camera Raw. I got this a few months ago and immediately realized this unit is too big. The product is basically the same size as a computer keyboard. It takes up too much space on my desk. The controls are too spread out. This unit could easily be more compact. As for functionality, I used it a little bit, but realized that I am more efficient using my keyboard and mouse.

This has made my editing process so much easier and fluid. No more clicking and dragging sliders, copy and paste, reset, export and all of the other common commands have their own buttons which are labeled.

This has really changed my workflow for the better of course. Having my hands less on the mouse and keyboard resulted in being more productive. I truly recommend this item or the new products by Loupedeck. Keep up the good work!

I do a lot of color corrections every week. I spend a lot of time with it. I needed a tool that would shorten the times with color correction... well, this is definitely what i was looking for.

I bought the Loupedeck+ to use with Lightroom Classic almost a year ago. Being able to make adjustments with a continuously variable control knob that is always within reach, instead of negotiating on-screen menus and panels, turns Lightroom Classic into a more intuitive photo editing application. Some editing functions that have keyboard shortcuts (not always easy to recall) can be applied with a button push on the Loupedeck+ console. Works well for me! The one drawback was that the console functions change depending on what mode Lightroom Classic is in, which is sensible. And that the Loupedeck+ has its own modes that change the function of buttons and knobs. As a result, some buttons on the console are not labeled, and others are marked with only one function. There is, of course, a Loupedeck user guide that spells out all these modes and functions but again can be difficult to call to mind. I added (clunky) Dymo labels to make the functions clearer. Recently I discovered that KB Covers makes application overlays for the Loupedeck+ and their Lightroom Classic overlay is just what the console needed. With this overlay Loupedeck+ would rate five stars! As far a support goes, I contacted Loupedeck when my console stopped working after a software update. It took more than a week for them to respond, apparently because that update generated a lot of support requests. Happily, Barbara at Loupedeck support provided useful troubleshooting steps, and tactfully let me know that I had installed the wrong software version for my device.

Assigned functions don't work

Purchased it to use with Lightroom. However, functions that you assign to knobs and buttons don't work. Main dial applies a 3-star rating to a picture instead of doing what is assigned. Sigh... Built quality is alright, feels a bit flimsy, but it's because it is made of plastic and it's quite big. Maybe I should try the CT instead.

The Loupdeck Console is basically just a fancy keyboard/mouse combo that extends the functionality of software packages like photoshop and Lightroom; it does not do any of the editing itself. So, yes, it is fully compatible with camera RAW - as long as the software that you are using is compatible with it. That said, if you are editing lots of photos, the Loupdeck will make the editing *much* faster and *way* easier. You will soon find yourself with a finger on each of the knobs making slight adjustments. It makes editing photos much less tedious.

They've not opened up their API to the community, and allowed others to add function and support for other applications. A shame, really. I think that would help adoption quite a bit.
