Available for download, the Softube Weiss Compressor/Limiter is a variant of the Weiss DS-MK3, a line-by-line port of the original hardware's code into a plug-in format. The Compressor/Limiter plug-in strips away the more esoteric parameters found in the original, such as release delay, the release average section, and the de-esser. Instead, it focuses exclusively on transparent mastering tools. Use this plug-in as a transparent compressor in your mix/master buss, use it at the end of the chain as your limiter—or use separate instances in both places, as it's CPU load is light enough for multiple instantiations.
