Capture sharp, detailed photos and video beneath the surface with the Ikelite 200DL Underwater Housing for Canon EOS 7D, featuring a Dry Lock port mount and a 200' depth rating. An Ikelite ICS-5 bulkhead with a manual hot shoe connection enables reliable electrical triggering of optional external strobes. Use of an optional TTL hot shoe and circuitry will allow for TTL operation with compatible Ikelite DS strobes; non-Ikelite strobes will still work in manual mode only.

Ergonomic mechanical controls including push-buttons, knurled knobs/dials, and levers afford access to virtually all camera functions. Built for durability, the enclosure is made in the USA from a corrosion-resistant polycarbonate and ABS plastic blend. It's white on the front, top, sides, and bottom, but the clear acrylic back plate allows you to monitor the O-ring seal and maintain your view of the camera's rear controls. The supplied aluminum tray with a left-hand quick release grip affords good balance and handling, while offering an attachment point for an optional lighting arm.

The housing ships without a required lens port, and accepts various dome and flat ports for a broad array of zoom, macro, and wide-angle lenses. For full compatibility, see the Port Chart. The Dry Lock (DL) port system accommodates lenses with large diameters and provides added security against leaks at the surface, thanks in large part to the included vacuum valve for checking watertight integrity before the dive. The DL port mount may be removed and replaced by an older one to allow you to use standard and modular ports from Ikelite's Four Lock system.

Construction Details

  • Depth rated to 200'
  • Made by hand in the USA from corrosion-resistant polycarbonate and ABS plastic blend
  • Clear acrylic back plate lets you monitor O-ring seal and maintain view of camera's rear controls
  • Open-groove rear O-ring design for easier maintenance and visual confirmation of seal
  • Housing alone has nearly neutral buoyancy in fresh water; overall buoyancy when shooting depends on choice of lens and port
  • Camera mounting plate enables quick installation and does not hinder battery or memory card access
  • Mounting plate has 1/4"-20 threaded hole on bottom for connection to tripod

Strobe Connection and Operation

  • Ikelite ICS-5 bulkhead with a manual hot shoe connection enables reliable electrical triggering of optional, external strobes via sync cords
  • Optional CT1K Canon TTL Kit (#46070) with hot shoe and circuitry allows for TTL operation with compatible Ikelite DS strobes; non-Ikelite strobes work in manual mode only
  • Exposure compensation can be adjusted using in-camera controls
  • Ikelite DS strobes support remote triggering via Optical Slave Converter (#4403) or Aquatica's Water Wizard system
  • Flash bulkhead on top of housing keeps cords out of the way

Controls and Handling

  • Controls not provided for LCD panel illumination button, depth-of-field preview button, dioptric adjustment knob, multifunction (M-Fn) button, quick control dial switch, lens lock pin, and multi-controller
  • Extra-large, soft touch zoom/focus knob makes fine adjustments easy
  • Shutter and AF-On levers feature a curved design, and can be elongated with the optional Shutter Trigger Extension (#4077.93)
  • Rear of housing has laser-engraved control symbols that won't fade over time
  • Supplied lightweight, hard-anodized aluminum tray with a left-hand quick release grip

question

can i use panasonic 8mm f3.5 and 45mm f2.8 and 20mm f.17 ii with ikelite 8 dry lock system dome port with this ???
Asked by: Prateev B.
Thanks for asking. The Panasonic 8mm lens' short length and wide field of view cause significant vignetting. If you're interested in this coverage we recommend the longer Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 8mm F1.8 Fisheye PRO behind our DL 8 Inch Dome Port (product number 75340)

question

What port/extension rings for the Olympus 7-14 F2.8. You only talk about the Panasonic 7-14. What is the disadvantage to using the compact dome port over the standard 8 port?
Asked by: Drew W.
There are two port options for the Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 7-14mm F2.8 PRO. Option 1: DL 42mm Port Extension (75042) + DL 8 inch Dome Port (75340) - This option will offer the best image quality, plus the larger dome port is better suited for over/under images where the water line is split. Option 2: DL 42mm Port Extension (75042) + DL Compact 8 inch Dome Port (75344) - This option is lighter weight and reduces the footprint of your equipment from a traveling perspective. The smaller dome port lets you get into tighter spaces for close focus wide angle images. You will need the Zoom Kit (5509.28) to adjust the lens' focal length. This will work with either of the aforementioned options.
