Can I use this to use my photogenic light modifiers on different strobes?

This is designed for the Photogenic Matrix MCD400R strobe. Its mount is very similar to the Bowens mount and therefore may work with some Bowens mount strobes.

The MCD400R https://bhpho.to/2q5tBiN uses a Bowens mount. This adapter allows you to convert your Photogenic rings to a Bowens mount for use on that light.

urchased this adapter to use my Photogenic and Norman softboxes with my new lights that have a Bowens mount. When I attempted to install the adapter I quickly realized the diameter of the ring was a couple of millimeters too short. This meant the screws and washers on my softboxes would not extend passed the edge of the ring and the adaptor would just pop off with any little movement of the box. To make matters worse the three prongs on the adapter are too big. I could insert the adapter into my strobe but could not rotate it to lock it in place. I'm hoping to find a different manufacturer. Has anyone found a fix?
Asked by: Jason
Unfortunately not, this is the current spec for their soft boxes
