Would this device work to take a call on whatsapp? To make a live broadcast by reporters/journalists? Thanks!
Asked by: Alfredo
That would depend on if WhatsApp allows real-time audio monitoring through Lightning. It should, but you might want to contact WhatsApp's support to verify.

Will this work with the Cisco Webex Meetings app on iOS?
Asked by: Marketing
According to Saramonic's marketing team, the SmartRig+ is not recognized by the Cisco Webex Meetings app on iOS. The iPhone does recognize the SmartRig+ when it is used to connect your external microphone, but once the Webex app is loaded, it is no longer recognized. Although the SmartRig+ is not compatible with the Webex app, it does work with Zoom.

I am doing a Facebook Live broadcast. I want to run a direct signal from my board, M32r Midas or mr18, into my iphone with a stereo signal. Can I directly from my board to this and thento my phone or is there a better way for pristene sound? Thanks
Asked by: David
It would work well for that application. Run out of the board's record output in to the SmartRig+Di's 1/4" inputs. Make sure that your input levels are not too low or overloading, and you're good to go.

I take it if there is a switch for record/playback this device probably can’t do playback while recording? I do track recording and normally play previous tracks through headphones while recording and I wondered if this one can do that.
Asked by: Anonymous
You must download a recording application supporting real-time input/output pass-through. Then you are able to monitor the audio during recording.

Is the 1/4" input TRS for long cable run from the mixer?
Asked by: Rozen
No, the 1/4" input is TS for instruments. You can go out from a mixer 1/4" into a direct box than XLR into the SmartRig+Di for best results, or even TRS to XLR cables and then mind the input gain if you do not have a direct box.

Does this unit have any mounting holes on the back, to attach to a rig if using for microphone input to an iPhone?
Asked by: Kristin
It has a 1/4"-20 thread for mounting to tons of devices, like shoe mounts and more. It also has 2 strap inlets that allow you to use the included velcro ties to mount to items like a smartphone, or you can use your own straps for even more possibilities.
