Explore Scientific Astro R-Lite Overview

An indispensable tool for any avid or amateur stargazer, the Explore Scientific Astro R-Lite Red Astronomy LED Flashlight illuminates without affecting night-adjusted vision so you can read star charts, find eyepieces and filters, and safely navigate around your telescope.

A single AA battery (sold separately) drives the LED emitter, and a high-visibility yellow push button tailcap switch gives you quick access to the high and low intensities, as well as a flashing signal mode. With the light turned on, use the sliding collar located behind the head to adjust the brightness to the perfect level. The lightweight aluminum body is durable and sealed to be shock resistant and to protect it from water, weather, or a brief drop in a puddle. The Astro R-Lite comes with a lanyard to wear it around your neck and a clip to secure it in your pocket. Weighing just 2.7 ounces with the battery, the light is sure to be your constant companion for all your astronomy needs.

What is the shade of red light? (Wavelength greater than 650nm is better and should be mentioned.)
Asked by: David
The Explore Scientific Astro R-Lite Red Astronomy LED Flashlight is not in infrared flashlight which is why there are no specifications for the nanometer range. It is made to luminate without affecting night-adjusted vision so you can read star charts, find eyepieces and filters, and safely navigate around your telescope.
