AL-4 Anchor Links from Peak Design allow you to quickly and securely attach and detach most standard camera straps from your camera. The AL-4 anchors will indicate when it is time to replace your anchors. The outside sheath of the anchor is black, the middle sheath is yellow and the inner sheath is red. When you start seeing yellow, it's time to replace your anchors. Two Links for the strap are included, as are four Anchors that attach to your camera. Photographers will appreciate the thicker cord that distinguish the AL-4 from earlier versions. The AL-4 is compatible with Peak Design tripod plates.

Peak Design AL-4 Overview

AL-4 Anchor Links from Peak Design allow you to quickly and securely attach and detach most standard camera straps from your camera. The AL-4 anchors will indicate when it is time to replace your anchors. The outside sheath of the anchor is black, the middle sheath is yellow and the inner sheath is red. When you start seeing yellow, it's time to replace your anchors. Two Links for the strap are included, as are four Anchors that attach to your camera. Photographers will appreciate the thicker cord that distinguish the AL-4 from earlier versions. The AL-4 is compatible with Peak Design tripod plates.

Recently purchased as a gift for a family member who is a mechanic, super handy for quickly swapping keys. I also swear by these anchor links for my cameras, except they are ALSO amazing for everyday keychains :)

After loving them for my camera, I standardized all of my key rings and small tools to the PD Anchor Link system. My backpack, badge reel, and belt all get the black anchor plate; my keys, flashlight, USB drive, and Leatherman all get the loops. One handed, no look operation is great and I have confidence nothing is going to fall off while I am crawling around in data centers.

I tried other fastening devices before these and I was always checking them, feeling that they may let go at an inopportune moment. With these, I never worry about them breaking and letting my camera hit the ground. A quality made product. I have these Anchors on all my cameras. Great product!!!!

Got these to save an old Op/tech strap (turns out I should have bought a new one) - once I did the dental floss trick to get the anchors on the camera I realized that these little things are genius. Easy removal, and they help you do things with the camera w/out the strap getting in the way.

The Peak Design anchor system is brilliant in its simplicity and sheer functionality. My new camera came with a cool neck strap. But how to attach this to the camera so as to be able to use the P.D wrist strap as well? Enter the AL-4 Anchor links. Just attach the big plastic bits to your neck strap (it becomes obvious when you've got them together) and then you can plug it into the anchor bosses. Brilliant!

It depends on how do you want to use it. Our Anchor links are best suited to be partnered with our straps because of the synergy between the anchors and the "links"
