Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fire Starter Received this the other day. Installed batteries set it up and after 3 activations, there was a huge POP and a burnt smell. A smell like electrical components. It even melted a small part of the plastic. (small dimple size) This is a 100% fire hazard.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good Fire Starter, Bad Flash From the very beginning, I knew something was wrong. The build quality was cheap, even in the plate that covered the batteries. Every button and switch felt tacky, including the auto-modes switch, which broke after a few times switching back and forth. Finally, after I fixed the switch, moving it 1 time made the flash pop, and the front started smoking. This might not be part of the product, but I've never used an external flash before (I shoot on a Canon 5D MK IV). How does it connect to the camera? There's an auto mode (which I never got to try since it broke), but how would the flash know to fire without connection to the camera? I'm always constantly learning why gear is so expensive - because the expensive stuff is usually built to last. It's always better to wait for the better product than to settle for this steaming (or smoking) pile of garbage.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Immediate return Button to switch between auto settings is stuck and flash won't even turn on. LED filming lights work.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fire Starter Just received the flash last night. New batteries inserted, hit shutter to activate flash and POP. The smell of an electrical short. What a hazard. I can't send it back fast enough.
