Each Velop Node comes equipped with dual Gigabit Network ports. The dual ports on the base device are divided up, one port for WAN connectivity and the other for LAN connectivity. Each associated node features dual Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports for a reliable wired network connection great for smart TVs, game consoles, computers, and more.

Setup and configuration of your Velop Home Wi-Fi System is simple, and can accomplished using your iOS- or Android-based mobile device. Simply connect your device via a Bluetooth connection to the Velop and follow the steps using the Linksys app to manage network settings, add additional nodes to your network, and much more. Additionally, the Velop mesh network is kept secure using WPA2 personal wireless encryption.

I bought 3 to start, and it improved the signal throughout the house, but my bedroom is in a tricky position, through lots of walls and a wardrobe, so I decided to add 2 more to have line-of-sight to every pod, and now it's consistent. The app alerts you if one goes down, as in someone unplugged it or moved one.

4 Node Signal Weak

I installed 4 nodes all within 60 feet. So about 15 feet apart separated by bedroom and bathroom sheetrock walls. The closest to the base node i.e. about 15 feet away works great but, the others that connect via that one have a signal that's 3 to 4 times weaker based on Speed Tests.

Excellent range, covers the chicken coop about 100 feet away and the barn about 250 feet away from the house with the 2 units.

Yes, it will work with your FIOS service. There are some settings and procedures for this to be setup properly and it would be best to call Linksys for these steps. This maybe more complicated if you have FIOS TV as well internet.

I have "gigabyte" internet, does this router support those speeds or will i be limited?

Yes, this router features Gigabit speed ethernet ports, however gigabit speed ethernet would only be attainable over a direct wired ethernet direct connection. Wifi connections will be substantially slower regardless of 1Gb or 100Mb backbone.

The Linksys Velop Wireless AC-2600 Dual-Band Whole Home Mesh Wi-Fi System (2 Units) is a Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi Mesh System. Meaning it has a 2.4GHz and one 5GHz band. You will still be able to use both to avoid congestion in your network.

The description states that set up is accomplished via the app/bluetooth, but the specs list "none" in the bluetooth line item. This seems like a discrepancy. Advice?

Each node is AC1300 to make AC2600. Also with the 3 node mesh it states it’s AC3900 which means 3 AC1300 nodes working together.
