Once attached to your rig, it allows you to mount Manfrotto 501PL camera plates and select SmallRig plates, including the 1280 and 1647 Manfrotto-type plates. It locks the plate in via a latch on the side, allowing you to easily attach/remove a camera or camera cage by quick release. The locking latch is controlled by a lever. Because of its compact form, the Quick Release Clamp provides an efficient way of integrating camera plate support to small and large rigs.
