  • Fujifilm XF 16-55mm f/2.8 R LM WR Lens

A standard-length zoom built to handle harsh conditions, the XF 16-55mm f/2.8 R LM WR Lens from Fujifilm is a weather-sealed lens offering the 35mm focal length equivalence of 24-82.5mm for versatile wide-angle to portrait length perspectives. With a constant f/2.8 maximum aperture, it is effective in low light conditions and able to control focus placement with a shallow depth of field. Compatible with all Fujifilm X-mount mirrorless digital cameras, it features a sophisticated lens design, internal focusing and a Twin Linear Motor AF system for exceedingly fast and near silent autofocus operation.

Comprised of 17 elements in 12 groups, the optical design incorporates three extra-low dispersion (ED) elements to control chromatic aberrations and three aspherical elements to reduce spherical aberrations and distortion throughout the zoom range. Additionally, a Nano-GI and HT-EBC coating has been applied to lens elements to alter the refractive index between elements, minimize surface reflections, and prevent lens flare and ghosting. And, in combination with select X-series cameras, Lens Modulation Optimiser technology corrects for diffraction, even at small apertures, for heightened edge-to-edge sharpness.

The lens barrel incorporates 14 distinct weather seals to render it both moisture and dust resistant for confident use in inclement conditions. Its minimum focus distance is 11.8", and its 9-blade circular diaphragm renders pleasing out-of-focus highlights.

Providing a 35mm-equivalent focal length range of 24-82.5mm, this standard-length zoom lens is ideal for numerous applications and skill-levels. Its wide-angle to short telephoto perspectives suit everyday shooting needs as well as the varying demands of advanced photographers who may need wide-angles and portrait lengths within the span of seconds.
Constant f/2.8 maximum aperture enables consistent performance throughout the zoom range and excels when working in difficult lighting conditions. Aperture can be controlled at 1/3 EV steps.
The 17-element-in-12-group design includes three extra-low dispersion elements and three aspherical elements to minimize chromatic and spherical aberrations throughout the zoom range.
Fourteen distinct seals are placed across the lens barrel to render it weather- and dust-resistant and capable of functioning in temperatures as low as 14°F.
Nano-GI (Gradient Index) coating has been applied to lens elements and alters the refractive index between the glass and air in order to better suppress lens flare and ghosting for diagonal incident light and HT-EBC coating also suppresses ghosting and flare for overall sharp imaging.
By combining this lens with select X-Series camera bodies with Lens Modulation Optimiser (LMO) technology, the performance from the lens is improved even further. LMO corrects for diffraction to produce images with edge-to-edge sharpness and create a realistic three-dimensional effect, even at small apertures.
A Twin Linear Motor autofocus system delivers fast, smooth, near-silent performance that is especially beneficial to video applications and when working in noise-sensitive areas. Autofocus speeds are rated as fast as 0.06 seconds.
In macro mode at the wide-angle end the lens provides a minimum focus distance of 11.8", enabling the user to be very close to their subject and still maintain sharp focus.
Nine rounded diaphragm blades contribute to a pleasing out-of-focus quality to benefit the use of selective focus and shallow depth of field techniques.

  • Fujifilm 64GB Elite II Performance UHS-II SDXC Memory Card

Designed for professional photographers and videographers, the 64GB Elite II Performance UHS-II SDXC Memory Card from Fujifilm features a storage capacity of 64GB and takes advantage of the UHS-II bus to support advanced DSLR functions such as continuous shutter bursts and rapid shooting, as well as RAW and JPEG captures. This card is also well-suited for video capture, including 4K, 2K, 3D, and Full HD video, and can achieve maximum read speeds of up to 285 MB/s. Thanks to its U3 speed class rating, sustained minimum write speeds are guaranteed not to drop below 30 MB/s. To help protect your data from accidental erasure, this card contains a built-in write-protect switch.

UHS-II media achieves its speed through an extra row of pins and while this card has been designed for cameras that are UHS-II compatible, it may be used in devices that do not support UHS-II. However, bear in mind that this card will then default to your device's speed class and bus rating, such as UHS-I and U3. If your device does not support U3, this card is compatible with the U1 and Class 10 standards, each of which guarantees minimum write speeds of 10 MB/s.

    General Features

Maximum reads speed: up to 285 MB/s (1900x)
Minimum sustained write speed: 30 MB/s
Records 4K, 2K, Full HD, and 3D video

Fujifilm X-H1 reviews

X-H1 Digital Camera with XF 16-55mm f/2.8 R LM WR Lens and Accessories Kit is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall amazing with a few exceptions Overall, this camera is an amazing photo/video rig. Most of my use has been video in the two weeks I've had it, so I won't comment on the photo side. The 4K video and picture profiles are exceptional! The IBIS is great. The size of the body is perfect for my big hands. Menu system and dials are intuitive enough to be familiar within a few days of shooting. The XF 16-55 f2.8 glass is beautiful, sharp, and quick to focus. Again, overall, it's an amazing rig and I'm glad I went with the Fujifilm ecosystem. I'm already shopping for a B-cam, but probably waiting for the X-T3 to be official. Now the gripes: Monitoring external sound via the battery grip absolutely sucks. All of the sound I've gotten is perfectly fine, but monitoring the live audio sounds like it's clipping horribly. Not sure if it can be fixed via firmware or if it's an issue with the hardware. Either way, it's no good at present. Random shutdown: The research I did before buying seemed to indicate that an intermittent issue of random shutdowns had been fixed in the 1.1 firmware update. Not so on my camera. My camera shutdown and would not power up again right in the middle of shooting an interview, which is not a good look. I knew what had happened, so I had to stop the interview, breakdown my rig to remove all three batteries, then reassemble. It powered back up fine after several awkward minutes and was fine for the rest of the shoot. The camera didn't feel particularly hot, so who knows what happened. Battery draining: Plenty has been written about the underwhelming capacity of the batteries. Adding the battery grip, I didn't think it'd be a problem, but it kinda is. Rather than the two grip batteries draining together, they drain one at a time. The issue here is that, when a battery becomes depleted recording, rather than seamlessly switching to one of the other batteries, recording is stopped without (much) warning. Since this happened the first time, I try my best to preemptively switch out batteries, but that can get tricky on long takes for interviews. If the batteries have to drain one by one, I'd love a menu option that would allow me to set a low-end threshold to automatically switch batteries between takes. So, only a few gripes that may or may not be fixable via firmware or, in the case of my battery grip, a replacement to fix the audio monitoring issue I have. Overall, I absolutely love this camera. Can't wait to flesh out my lens quiver. Oh, the SD card records 4K 100mbps just fine. The tiny little camera backpack is junk, but it was essentially free, sooooo...
