A GREAT Lens for Flowers

If you love close-ups of flowers that have a small area of focus and a lot of beautiful blur, this is the Lensbaby lens for you. The lens is well made and with a constant aperture of f/3.5, you will continuously get that soft-focus in your images.

I just bought my third Sol. I have them for different lens mounts since they are so reasonably priced. I have had many Lensbaby lenses over the past 15 or so years and this is my favorite. It is easy to use, is small and light and the blur effect you get is lovely. I don’t like using the little wing things and wish I could remove them. This is a great lens for someone who is Lensbaby curious.

The main difference is how they mount to the camera. The Sweet 50 requires a Composer Pro lens to attach to the camera while the Sol 45mm has a direct lens mount.

With a Nikon D750, do I use Aperture priority? Is this lens difficult to learn how to use?

Yes, you do. The instructions in the manual will tell you to use Aperture. I use the D750 also. Lensbaby are all manual focus so it can be a challenge to use. My eyes are not the best so I do have to work at the focusing. I just bought the Velvet 85 and it is challenging also. But that being said, I love this little lens! It really can be fun. I do believe it comes as an RF mount for canon mirrorless. You might check the lensbaby website for confirmation. My old lensbaby canon ef lenses do work with the canon EF/RF adaptor. You have to set the camera to shoot without a lens for the shutter to release.
